Geet was raped ... U'r Attention Pls!!!!

Hi Friends! I knw this is not a social reform site but this fact stuck me...Geet was raped. according to the definition (as per my understanding)

Many of IF members are from US,UK, Pakistan and Afghanistan, dubai etc. I do't know what their laws says but here is what IPC states...

According to the Indian Penal Code, 1860, a man is said to have committed 'rape' when he has had sexual intercourse with a woman under these conditions :

a. Against her will

b. With her consent when her consent has been obtained by putting her or any person in whom she is interested in, in fear of death or hurt.

c. With her consent, when the man knows that he is not her husband and that her consent is given because she believes that he is another man to whom she is or believes herself to be lawfully married.

I think most of us are hooked by this very concept of Geet....As for Geet she has all the right to put Dev behind bars and though he may be the biological father but legally he can have no custody over the child. Many members of this form are teenagers or in their early 20's. Let us be vocal and condemn such acts in our society which is still prevailing.

Amid all the Maaneet chemistry, lets thanks CV, the production house and the entire team for putting up such a brave show......Let's verbalize our anger and condemn those who do such heinous crimes. and let's encourage those who are raising their voice against such crimes.

If anybody has any legal advice please give an insight.

I just realized that some members are geeting an impression that this post is to berate Geet...NO, Definately not. This is just to condemn people who do such crimes against GEETs in our society.

This topic is insane...ur not wrong somewhere but i dont think like that. Else she would be guilty all the time, and its not the case of Geet. If she is its only because she was betrayed. she's not like "eww that's not my child..i dont want it"

but i dont think its a point to come.

No dear you got me wrong this post is not about berating Geet..This is about people who cheat innocent families and girls in the name of false marriges...sometime true marriages but false promises. What I am telling is that no man has a right to so such crime. In this Geet's case Dev knew that he is not her husband but still went into her..this is rape. What Dev did was not just betrayal it was a crime in the eyes of the law. Note: There is no reason for Geet to feel guilty about it.

I'm not really sure what you're saying... Where in the post did Topic Maker state that Geet would be disgusted by her child? I'm confused. And yes, I agree topicmaker. It was a rape, because Geet would have been unwilling if she had known that Dev was married and was by law not her husband for real.

i don't really think that it was a rape...or so...dev did not force geet to sleep with him...it was not love also...i feel she was not emotionally attached with him....she was fulfilling her duty as a wife...that she has be give comfort to her husban be it physcial or emotional......dev was well aware of all this but he did not throw himself on her......so i don't think it is rape....that's what i think

but she was betrated for sure and under false impression....for that dev should be jailed but not rape....

I understand. I also do not l;ike to call it that way ...but if legally it is true then my heart really goes out for many more Geets in our society.

RAPE case difficult to prove... let's just wait n watch n Njoy the show... leave thinking to the CVs, nO?
