Smriti Irani saved this Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actress from wardrobe malfunction

The reboot of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has been a hit, attracting both original and new viewers. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 started strong, becoming the top show in its first week. Actress Shrashti Maheshwari, who plays Sandhya, recently shared a story about Smriti Irani, mentioning how Smriti looks out for everyone on set and even helped her avoid a wardrobe issue.

Shrashti Maheshwari shared a story while talking to Zoom about how Smriti Irani helped her avoid a wardrobe malfunction on the set of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Smriti noticed the issue and signaled to Shrashti with a look, giving her a chance to fix it before anything happened.

“Smriti ma’am to itni sweet hai. Mera unse aankhon mein interaction hua hai and unhone isharo mein she saved me. Today, in performance mere shayad kapdon ka malfunction hone wala tha. And she literally said (gestured with her eyes). Koi nahi karta. (Smriti ma’am is so sweet! Today I had eye contact with her, and she literally saved me. I think there was about to be a wardrobe malfunction during the performance, and she signalled to me through her eyes and helped. Honestly, no one else would have done that)."

Shrashti thanked Smriti Irani for her help, mentioning that she might have felt uncomfortable without her intervention. "I am really glad ma’am. Thank you so much for saving me, as an artist while performing. Main uncomfortable ho jaati shayad, but unhone hone nahi diya. Toh unhone bohot dhyaan rakha hai har kisi ka. Kai log bolte nahi, but aapka dhyaan rakhte hain. So woh waisi hain. (I am really glad, ma’am. Thank you so much for saving me as an artist while I was performing. I might have become uncomfortable, but she didn’t let that happen. She really took care of everyone. Many people don’t always say it, but always look out for others. That’s just how she is)," she further added.

Also, Shrashti mentioned that she was about to leave India after not getting any TV roles, but the day before she left, she got the offer to be Sandhya in Kyunki… She decided to stay, with her husband's support, and is now part of the successful reboot.
