Jr NTR’s stern warning to fan interrupting War 2 Hyderabad event: ‘It won’t take me a second’

The pre-release event of War 2 in Hyderabad on 10 August turned tense when Jr NTR halted his address to call out a disruptive fan. The gathering, attended by thousands of enthusiastic supporters, was meant to be a celebration of the actor’s Bollywood debut in the YRF Spy Universe. However, repeated interruptions from one fan pushed Jr NTR to address the situation directly.

In a clip circulating on X (formerly Twitter), Jr NTR is seen pausing his speech and firmly saying, “Brother, shall I leave? What did I tell you? Maintain silence when I speak. It won’t take me a second to keep the mic down and leave the stage.” His sharp tone momentarily quietened the crowd, allowing him to continue.

Despite the disruption, Jr NTR went on to express gratitude to Yash Raj Films for offering him the role and addressed online comparisons between him and Hrithik Roshan, sparked by the release of the dance number Janaab-e-Aali. “Comparisons can mislead fans. It wasn’t a face-off. We complemented each other. Hrithik is one of the greatest dancers in the country. Every day on set, Hrithik brought unmatched energy. Those 75 days were fascinating I learnt so much from him. I’ll never forget the first hug he gave me. That warmth made my Bollywood debut journey much easier,” he said.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 continues the high-octane narrative from the 2019 blockbuster War. Hrithik Roshan returns as Kabir Dhaliwal, while Jr NTR plays a pivotal role in the cross-border spy thriller. The plot pits their characters against each other in an ideological and physical face-off, adding to the film’s anticipation.

The movie will release in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil on Independence Day weekend 2025, aiming for a pan-Indian reach. Action sequences, elaborate set pieces, and large-scale dance numbers are set to be key highlights. Adding to the buzz, War 2 will face box office competition from Rajinikanth’s Coolie, setting up one of the year’s most anticipated cinematic clashes.
