Monday - episode upload delayed..


Update for Tuesday, Aug 24, 2010:

Tamil is moved by KK and KS confessing that both of them were covering up for each other, just so that the engagement will go off smoothly. She praises their nalla manams, they are touched, everybody is touched. KK wants to present the three DILs with diamond mookuthis, Prema can't stand this paasa mazhai raining and takes leave, with smoke pouring out of her ears and nostrils.

Tamil leaves and sees Karthik on the way. He wants to buy her a cool drink, she refuses, he insists on dropping her and calls an auto and pays for it himself. His friend asks him why he is doing this, and he says that he is going to take revenge on Tamil for slapping him by marrying her sister and torturing her, so that eventually Tamil will fall at his feet and beg for mercy.

Kavitha and her friend are walking back from work, two rowdies come and kidnap Kavitha. They spray something on her face to make her unconscious. The friend calls Kavitha's mom to tell her, Meena promptly does what she is good at doing - she starts weeping, Ayyo naan enna pannuven, ippadi aache ..., and Vasanthi comes and joins her.

Kavitha is awake, tells the rowdies to let her go or her mama, who is also a big rowdy, will see them one hand. Sada walks in with a big smile and says that he is the one who had her kidnapped. He shows her the silk sari and a thali of 18 pavuns, she knocks down the sari, he tells her that someone has gone to buy the maalais, and when he comes back, she has to marry Sada.

Sorry, eclat, I know Monday's update is not up yet, nor is Friday's, but I just wanted to get this out of the way, since I have some work to do later.

Update for Wednesday, Aug 25, 2010:

Kavitha tells Sada to send her back to her mother and she says she will never talk about this kidnapping business to anyone, not even to her mother. Sada is not going to listen, he tells her that she has to get ready to wear his thali, and she says that there is no porutham between them, she will never marry him. He tells her that he is better looking than MK, more sevappu (is that supposed to make him a better person? That's a typical Indian attitude - sorry folks, but look at any matrimonial ad and you will agree with me), so he is better suited to her than MK. Once again, he threatens her and goes near her with the thali, the other rowdies crowding her from behind, and she says, Go ahead, even if you tie the thali, I will not remain married to you and I will aruthufy this thali the very next minute. He is confused at this point and doesn't know what to do.

His guru in kidnapping techniques, Prema, calls up and he tells her about this problem. She tells him that he has to threaten to hold the shanti muhurtham then itself without the benefit of the wedding if she doesn't agree (I hate even having to write about all this, naan enna dhaan paavam paNNineno, idhu ellam ezhudha vendi varudhu! Where are the censors? These shows are viewed by young people and adults, how can anyone watch this with inlaws and elderly parents?) Sada accordingly tells her that she has time to think about this till his men come with the maalais.

Tamil comes out of a meeting and turns on her cell phone. Vasanthi calls her and cries without saying anything, then Meena comes on the line and cries some more, still without saying anything, finally they get to the point and tell her that Kavitha has been kidnapped. She promptly goes to the police station and files a complaint with the Inspector. She gives him a photo of Kavitha.

Sada comes to talk to Kavitha again, and the phone rings. It is Meena, and he tells Kavitha about it. She wants to talk, so he tells his men to gag her and goes outside to talk. He pretends to be unaware of anything, but right then, his goondas come and say they have brought the maalais and want to know if Kavitha has agreed. Meena hears this and asks Sada if Kavitha is with him, and he disconnects the phone. Meena is doing a major crying job over there, naan nambina aalae drogam paNNitaanae, and so on.

Sada is wondering what to do, since Meena now knows that Kavitha is with him.

Hi friends , at last our PC has been discharged from the hospital though still with some hiccups. Before something goes wrong decided to do the Friday update.

FRIDAY 27.08.2010

Meena continues her RKO , in between the sobs tells KS that her erumai thambi Sada is the kidnapper as he wanted to marry Kavi. The story is passed on to Muthu the sothu [ thank God in muted dialogue]. Family honour at stake. So Muthu decides to join the search crew , calls Tamil to enquire about latest news on Sada's whereabouts.

The police inspector karthikeyan contacts the control room , gets the message that Sada & gang are moving in Arcot road, contacts his police station & ordres to fax kavi's photo to all the police stations. Further calls another inspector , updates him about the kidnapping drama & asks him to corner the kidnappers at Valasara vakkam signal.

Sada's car....Kavi hands & mouth tied sitting between Kuppan & suppan [Sada's aids],struggling , shouting , crying , kenjing. Minar mama as usual konjing her as kaNNe, mooke , muthe , chellame etc,etc. The car proceeding towards the temple...a road block , police check up going on , Sada & gang sweat & swear, Kavi try her best to attract policeman's attention.Police take their own sweet time in checking each & every vehicle. Finally one policeman aadi asaindhu comes towards Sada's car [ breakkkkkkkkkkkkkk....suspense]

The policeman comes towards the car in slow motion.Nadakkaran nadakkaran nadandhunde irukkan...10 adi nadakka 10 minutes.[ This is how the director created the suspense , as if we viewers do not know what will happen , ethanai serials paakarom , police avlavu seekram culpritai pidicha mini serial agidadhu?]. The policeman is still walking towards the car when the inspector calls him back saying another emergency call & their urgent presence is needed there. The police force leave , Sada heaves a sigh of relief, Kavi cries frantically.

AM house....Meena enacting her usual role .Prema suggests to call Tamil to learn about the latest development. Tamil consoles mom , tells Sada & party will be nabbed soon, thanks Prema for her moral support at this hour.

Sada's car. Kavi still crying , nondhufy her luck while Sada boasts of his luck which saved him twice from police. Irritates Kavi with his non stop useless talks. Kuppan/ Suppan feel sorry for Kavi .Camera alternates between Sada's car & police jeep, & finally freezes on Tamil's worried face.

Update for Tuesday, Aug 31, 2010:

Sada takes Kavitha's cell phone, while she is protesting, and tosses it into a truck carrying sand. A guy is sitting in the back and he sees the cell phone. The police van is going along, Inspector reassures Tamil, MK is also going somewhere, and I am going nuts watching this show.

Sada's van dashes against someone on a motorbike. The guy comes up, yells at the driver, looks into the car and sees Kavitha, guesses correctly that they are kidnapping her, so Sada tells the driver to drive away. He tells his guys to spray Kavi with the mayakka marundhu, and she loses consciousness. The motorbike driver notes down the number of the van. He goes away and sees a policeman, tells him about the girl and identifies her from a photo (thevalaiye, namma TN police can be efficient in this respect, at least!). The policeman informs the Inspector.

Tamil suggests that they try Kavitha's cell phone again, the Inspector tries it, and the guy in the sand truck picks it up. He tells them that the phone was thrown onto the truck. Tamil gets another call from Meena, and she asks the Inspector what she should tell her mother, and Inspector tells her to be positive. Good thing, or else Tamil will tell her mother about the latest development also. Meena continues her usual polambing about vayasu ponnu kadathal and how will she live this for the rest of her life. KS prays to his father, who wakes up from a trance in some temple, and laughs mysteriously. Tamil weeps to maintain the family tradition.

Sada switches vans, and his crony wants to know why, he explains that the motorbike guy would have noted the number of the earlier van. He continues with his kannae, sweetie talks to Kavitha and I want to knock his teeth out of his face. They stop at a gas station, and Sada sees Palanisamy also there, so he ducks out of sight and sits up after PS leaves. However, PS returns because they forgot to get the receipt, and spots Sada, who is unhappy but gets down from the van so that PS doesn't see inside. Sada makes small talk with PS, who is all praise for Sada's large heart, since he is the murai maman but has stepped aside so that KS's sons can marry AM's daughters. Finally, PS leaves and Sada heaves a sigh of relief.

PS gets a call from the store about something, so he calls MK's cell phone asking him why he is not at the store and asks him if he overslept. MK is irritated and tells him that he is on the road, because Kavitha has been kidnapped by her maman, Sada. PS is shocked ....
