Shanta u recently himslef said to himself...something along these lines..."How can Khanak know what I feel or want ....when I realized that I love her recently myself.." I found this dialogue very very telling...as before ...Natasha being in his life was not really his choice ...but just there just liek their fathers being family and business friends adn aqquaintances...and her being Khusboo bhabis sister, going to the same uni etc..thus they were put together and it was more of a family choice he accepted as his..then it ever being his choice...something he chose for himself a decision that he made on his own...but falling in love with Khanak is completely his choice no outside influence ..of his family etc...its him making the decision on his own...with his heart, mind and soul.
What he felt for Natasha..is what every person does when the fall in love with love...thus the first person we meet or see is who we beleive we love..."Phela Nasha" indeed..the Nasha of being in Love with the feeling of what Love is or feels like...but love is so different then all that as it comes from realy knowing someone...caring for someone even more then yourself, wanting htat persons happpiness...not being selfish etc...thats whats happened to Shan after him and Khanak meeting in Dulwadi to getting married adn then their adventure to sharing a room ..thus allowing the meeting of minds...etc...
