Monday 19/7/10 Episode No 61

KS manages to get the rowdies out - on bail. The advocate emphasizes - "not acquitted, so be careful, no more dramas.." KS promises to contain his rowdies. All except Karthik get in to the car - Karthik is busy calling some one on the phone. KS wants the crowd to adjourn to the hospital but Karthik has some thing urgent - well we know what runs in his mind. Asks the rest to go " I will be there soon" What follows next is yuckkyyy . Karthik goes to A.Malai's house - to stage another drama but sees Swathi on the way. As it is that girl has an azhumoonji face , must have inherited from the RKO specialist mother - she frets looking at Karthik. Karthik shouts at her saying that her sister sent them to abacus school for no reason (yeah sure)
" now, I am really going to manhandle..lets see what happens .." Pulls Swathi's duppatta and gloats - "aambalai aambalai thaan.." This is witnessed by some one - whom we later know as someone known to KS.

Hospital - KK is out of danger. Muthu and Karthik want to know the truth - "what bugs A.Malai and his clan?? We need to know..now" KS spills - the whole story - tells the sons that he showed enough proof to the AC as to how he raised the money for the agency "the police knew that I was not guilty but A.Malai refuses to believe. I tried to help him when he came to the streets ...but....." Muthu is angry - says that he is more angry now "can't leave the A.Malai clan free..need to teach them a lesson.." KS says that it will only aggravate the old enmity - "your mother did enough damage.... you guys keep quiet.." Karthik comes..looks at his mom ..has a tear ( aha ha)
The witness calls and tells KS - "thiruvilaiyaadal of Karthik"

KS shouts at Karthik for his cashewnut behaviour and insists that he should apologize. Karthik refuses first but KS manages to drag him. A.Malai household - Swathi is crying ...Vasanthi watches.... Meena is doing a mini RKO and pacifying Swathi. Tamizh comes and learns the whole scenario. Meena says that the KS clan needs to be taught a lesson "we can't just tolerate this always.." Tamizh is all set to grace the KS household "naakkai pidingara mathiri kettu ttu varren.."

Here comes Tuesday, and so I am also reporting for duty. There were no RKO's, but it was a disgusting episode, so I am going to be very brief.

Update for Tuesday, July 20, 2010:

Tamil resolves to go by herself and warn that porukki, even though Meena asks her to wait for her dad (that's another short-tempered guy). After Tamil leaves, Swathi continues her crying, and a car draws up. KS gets out, tells Karthi to get out and keep quiet once he is inside. Meena wants to know why they have come, isn't it enough that her daughter has been crying since morning, and what more does his porukki son want with her? KS says he has come to ask forgiveness, tells Karthi to kaalile vizhundhu manippu ketka, and Karthi doesn't want to do so, so he decides to do it himself. Karthi then goes, touches the crying Swathi's foot, and then clenches his hand out of rage, then KS goes to her and tells her not to cry. He assures Meena that no member of his family will ever come near their family again, and leaves.

Paati is sitting outside KS's house when an auto draws up. Sada and two other goondas get out, go in and call for that porukku, overriding Paati's protests that no one is home. Palanisamy is inside, he gets beaten up by Sada, and then the girl, Meena comes in with vegetables. Sada sees her, says he will show her how his niece feels and chases her into a room and shuts the door (and I cursed the show's director, cast, Sada, everyone during this scene. Such scenes should never be shown like this, esp since this show is aired in the evening when children are home). Paati is banging on the door, Palanisamy is being held back by the two goondas, and Sada locks the door from inside and the girl falls on the bed.

Sada opens the door, says now that you experienced fear when I closed the door, do you know how my niece felt? and leaves with his goondas. Now Tamil comes to the house in an auto, shouts for anyone to come outside, sees Palanisamy, yells at him, wants to know why he is standing without saying anything, and finally Paati comes out and enlightens her. Paati tells her to please leave, unga kudumba sagavaasame engalukku vendaam. Tamil realizes what has happened.

This episode was crass, crude and totally unnecessary. Such scenes should not be shown in homes with young children and teenagers. I felt sickened and disgusted by the scene, and the manner in which it was shown.

Update for Wednesday, July 21, 2010 - episode 63:

Paati tells Tamil to leave them alone. Meena is terrified and sobbing. Palanisamy tells Paati that they must keep this matter from KS or the problems will only become worse. Paati wants to tell KS but he explains that already KK is in the hospital, the three sons have been guests at the local police station, Karthi has insulted AM's daughter, it is time to put an end to all this. Paati agrees, they see KS returning in his car, they tell Meena to lie down and go to sleep. KS enters, asks about Meena, PS tells him that she has gone to sleep and he has already applied thailam, so KS goes to bed.

Sada goes to AM's house and gloats over the manner in which he has taught KS's family a lesson, they are all shocked to hear it. Tamil comes in and asks him why he acted in such a rash, irresponsible manner (the right word for that is revolting, disgusting, sickening ...), he brags about it and says it will teach others not to mess with his family. Tamil tells her family members that they are no longer in the right, and even AM tells Sada that he should not have done what he did.

KS's house - around midnight, Meena has a nightmare all over again, and screams. KS goes to calm her, Paati and PS rush in , and so do MK and Karthi. KS wants to know what has happened, Paati and PS say Nothing, but KS has already seen the marks on Meena's hand. Once everyone has left Meena's room, KS asks PS what happened and threatens to stop talking to him if he doesn't confess, so PS tells all about Sada's entry in their house. KS is furious, PS tries to tell him to end it here, but KS is in no mood to listen.

Morning - Meena is buying keerai at Rs. 10/bundle (used to cost Rs1 to 2 in my days!), KS comes in his car, enters the house and calls out for AM. Meena says he has gone out, KS tells them that when Swathi was insulted, he brought his adult son there, and made him fall at Swathi's feet and beg for forgiveness, and Swathi was all right, but her brother has done stuff that has left Meena, a motherless girl, in a high fever and screaming in the night. How do they propose to make up for that? He says that AM has maintained that he stole the Rs. 30 lakhs, while even the police and the court have declared him innocent, and even though he did not take the money, since that has become the issue here and is causing so many problems, he takes out the documents for the property he has bought with his own money and flings it at Meena's feet.

FRIDAY 23.7.2010 EPISODE 65

Muthu the sothu decides to don the detective cap , nab the real culprit & eventually put an end dad's trauma. KS warns him to be careful while broaching the subject with Eka so as to avoid further complications. KS reiterates that extra politeness is required as Eka is a very loyal employee of AM & has great visvasam towards his mudhalali. Muthu promises to do so leaves.

Next scene, Muthu lands up in Eka's house , seeks his permission to discuss some important family matters. Perplexed Eka welcomes , after preliminary pleasantries , Muthu reveals is identity..Murugesan store Kandasamy's son. Immediately Eka's expression changes , shouts saying does not want any tete a tete with that drohi KS' son & shows him the door. Eka's shouting brings his son & wife to the arena. Son Prasad asks dad to give Muthu a chance to speak out. The long story we all know is once again repeated....false pazhi on KS resulting in unnecessary enemity between the two family , old man KS nondhu noodles agi decides to part with some of his sothu [ not Muthu the sothu] to put a full stop to the matter , AM's daughter Thamizh insulting KS for this noble act , wants nothing less than KS' kambi counting. Hence Muthu's visit to Eka's house , wants to know if Eka suspects anyone so that the real culprit could be nabbed. Eka stands his ground & reiterates that KS is the real culprit for he saw with his own eyes KS stuffing the money in his bag. Muthu argues his father stuffed the house documents & not money & his father never lies. Fight issues between Muthu & Prasad as to whose father is a lier. Muthu loses his cool & expresses his doubt that Eka could be the real culprit , their sudden affluence points to it. Eka's decision of seeking AM family alliance also with the ulterior motive of doing pariharam for his sin. Vaai sandai transforms in to kai sandai. Mrs Eka getting wild at these allegations starts enumerating her husband's arumai perumai...appavi , email ,komali , visvasi et al. Muthu leaves promising to expose Eka's true colours soon. Mrs. Eka's anger now diverted towards her husband for seeking AM family alliance , strictly advices husband to follow her orders from now on.

AM house. Thamizh boasting about her heroism at KS' house ...maximum insult tendered , proudly announces evlavu kevala padutha mudiyumo avlavu kevalap paduthitten. Strictly told KS to accept guilt & surrender to police rather than resorting to paying off gimmicks. AM all praise for daughter while mummy not amused asks thamizh to keep away from problems as her marriage is round the corner & concentrate on marriage preps. Short lived santhosham for the family. Mr & Mrs Eka arrive to announce that the marriage is off. Updates about Muthu's visit & accusations & hence not interested in continuing with the alliance. Meena as usual opens glycerine tank , Thamizh not interested in marriage talk. Meena falls at Mrs. Ekas's feet requesting not to stop the wedding which will see their manam boarding the ship . Mrs. Eka's attitude softens a bit , agrees on one condition , KS should accept his crime & surrender to the police or true culprit should be nabbed.Livid AM now marches towards KS' house followed by daughter darling. [ As Eljay mentioned now it is AM family's turn to visit KS home for fight ]

Update for Tuesday, July 27, 2010:

KS and AM are walking into the jail, while Tamil, Sada on one side and Karthi and Sara on the other are busy trying to show their political power to the policeman outside, until he tells them both to shut up because it was the higher authorities who wanted these two people to be brought here. (I am getting tired of Tamil these days, from being a calm, sensible person, she has become as irrational as her father and as easily provoked without any real reason) Sada calls his sister, Meena, to come while Karthi and Sara ask MK to come, so that both sides can be equally balanced, while trading insults with each other.

KS and AM are taken to see a prisoner, whom AM finally recognizes as his former accountant, who is apparently facing the death sentence and is due to be hanged in two days. He says he wanted to confess his crimes, and he tells AM how he eyed the Rs. 30 lakhs that AM had kept in his cupboard with the keys dangling in the door, when the guy in his office became ill and had to be taken to the hospital. KS waited for some time, and then decided to leave with the documents, which fell to the floor, and he picked them up and stuffed them in his bag, when Eka walked in, so he told Eka that he was leaving. After that, the acctt went into AM's office and took the money, making sure he opened the cupboard using a piece of cloth to handle all surfaces so that his fingerprints won't show up anywhere, took the cash, put it in the trash basket, then emptied the trash can when everyone had left. He managed to convince everyone, including the police, of his innocence the next day (and why couldn't the police and AM have thought someone in the office may have taken the money?) and walked away when AM lost his business. He did well in some gambling business, but got implicated in some murder deal, which he didn't do, and now he is facing the death sentence for a crime he didn't commit. AM loses his temper, as usual, while KS tells him that though he committed an unforgivable sin, he has confessed, so he will not die as an unknown poNam, or something to that effect, and KS will himself do the honors on his death (I didn't get that part properly). He continues with some noble talk about how once a sin is confessed, then if it is not accepted, etc., etc., and so on. Then KS walks out, while AM keeps asking him to stop.

KS comes out, followed by AM, and promptly Meena starts her saabams, NeengaL nallaavae irukka maatinga, and so on, followed by Sada, which Karthi objects to, and KS tells them to stop. Then comes AM, who gives this long speech about how he was at fault, and so on, and touches KS's feet and asks for forgiveness. Meena wants to know what the matter is, and he tells all, and all look in awe and wonder at this new saint in their midst, except Sada! (and I am getting tired of all this sudden change in them!)

Monday 26/7/10

Starts with A.Malai storming out to see the KS' family one hand
along with his deputy Tamizharasi. Hospital - KK is sitting in the
bed. Paatti and the two younger sons are in attendance. Karthik
starts - "yemma?? why did you go to A.Malai's house and get
insulted??" KK blinks "how did you know that??" Time to spill -
KK gets to know everything. Not to be outdone KS comes and fills
in the rest. (Tomorrow never comes?? or they decided to pack off
KK??? Why discharge and take her home, inge irunthu nera
crematorium pOidalaam nnu plan ??? whateverrrrrrrrrr) KS sends
his sons out and adds fuel to the fire - talks about Sada manhandling
Meena - so KS drives home the point - " YOU are the root cause".
The rowdy sons have done well - in terms of shocking mommy over
and over. KK survives. KS goes home to bring a change of dress for KK.

A. Malai and Tamizh arrive - to confront KS. Only Pazhani is at home.
A.Malai shouts as if Pazhani is hiding KS - sathamO satham !! Roja
ran to her dressing table to find an ear plug...KS lands. Kudumi pidi sandai happens . A.Malai accuses KS " you stole my money and now you stop my daughter's wedding?? " KS has no clue. After some more earth shaking noises and sabams, KS learns that Muthu engal sothu paid a visit to Eka's place. Things would have calmed down a bit but Sada arrives. Enna da Roja kku vantha sothanai??? Some more fight happens. Meena screams and Karthik comes to know about Sada's Tiruvilaiyaadal - Fish market thaan. A police jeep arrives on cue. Every one panics.

KS says that it is just a family feud - "naanga pesi sari pannikkuvom,
please leave" Inspetor says that he has come in search of A.Malai.
Tamizh immediately jumps " KS thaan culprit,take him away" Karthik
refutes "ivanga thaan enga veedu pugunthu galatta panraanga, take them" Inspector wants both KS and A.Malai - "get in to the jeep" . Both board. Tamizh + Sada, Karthi + Sara follow. The jeep goes straight to the prison. The whole jing bang reaches the same arena and Tamizh starts talking about neethi, court etc., etc., Finally the inspector says " ivanga rendu peraiyum inge kOndu vara solli ........ superior order panni yirukkar..."

Update for Wednesday, July 28, 2010:

Opening scene: Meena wants to know about this sudden change of attitude in AM, falling at KS's feet and so on, and AM tells all. Now it is time for everyone, except Sada, to regret and repent, so they decide to ask KK's forgiveness, and so all, including a reluctant Sada, troop to the hospital, where a nurse stops them and wants to know why a whole battalion is coming in. KS explains, and in they all go, where Paati starts by ordering AM's family out (it is her turn to dole out curses and saabams, paavam, avangaLai mattum vidalaamaa?). KS explains about the change in their hearts and the fact that the real thief has been found out, and then everyone starts pouring paasam on each other. KK invites them all to lunch at her place after she returns home, KS agrees, and Meena points out this "pondaati pechu kekkara vishayam" to AM! Everyone laughs.

Prema is squeezing lemons, and her mother wants to know how she can be so calm when the two families are now friends and their enmity has been buried. Prema assures her that Karthi is hers, and even if the two families decide to marry Karthi to AM's daughter, and even if the invitations are printed, the thaali will not go anywhere but on Prema's neck, and she will make sure of this.

Eka and his wife are in a car. Mrs. E buys some flowers - 4 muzham malli for Rs. 20 - I think that is a reasonable price.

AM family is getting ready to go to KS's house for lunch, and Meena wants Rs. 500 to buy a gift for KS and KK. As usual, Vasanthi pipes in with a request to use the money left over after the gift to buy a sari for herself. Tamil is about to leave when Mr. and Mrs. Eka come in, as usual, through the conveniently open doors. They say that they heard all about the thief being found through MK, who went and told them about it in the morning, and insisted that Tamil's wedding must go ahead and must not be stopped, so they have come to inform the AM family. Mr. E says that when Prakash came to know about their stopping the wedding, he was so furious that he threatened to walk out of the house, so they have come to revive the talks. Mrs. E takes out the flowers and asks Tamil to turn around so she can put it in her hair, and Tamil stops her. She leaves the room, leaving a stunned audience. Meena follows her and tries to reason with her, and Mrs. E stands at the doorway, also pleading her case. Tamil is unmoved, and says that the hurt has gone deeply into her heart. Finally, Mrs. E says she will fall at her feet and beg forgiveness, whereupon Tamil stops her and says all is forgiven and forgotten, and allows Mrs E to put the flowers in her hair. Everyone is beaming.
