Update for Monday, July 5, 2010: - Update by Eljay - thanks for stepping in Eljay

KS insists that somewhere on this earth, the DILs for their house are already born (he seems to know astrology!), and tells her not to raise this issue again. She continues to think that it would be a good idea to get Tamilarasi's sisters as their DILs, and decides to go to their house herself and ask about it.

Shailaja and Saravanan return from the movie, with Raghav sleeping on Sara's shoulder. Apparently, Raghav threw up on Sara, Shaila insists that he come inside and change, he hesitates, the door is opened by Akka, and Shaila sends the auto away. Sara has no option, Akka is sick, so Shaila takes the child inside, invites Sara into the bedroom, and gives him a towel and asks him to change so she can wash the Tshirt. He has more sense, tells her that it will not dry so fast, she goes and gets him some milk (enna, chinna paapaavaa?) and comes back to see his bare back (he is about to wear his Tshirt), ogles his bare back, then gives him the milk, and right then, CRRRAAACK! Lightning flashes, the power goes out, and she shrieks in fright, drops the milk and hugs Sara in her fear (and we all know what is going to happen!)

A temple - Karthik and his buddies are busy ogling all the girls coming there and indulging in eve-teasing. They are being observed by a police jeep, and just as Prema and her mother come there, Karthik has been caught in the act by a policewoman who is summoning him to the jeep. Prema comes to the rescue, says she is getting married to Karthik, and pleads for his release, so the policewoman lets him off without a warning. Prema tells Karthik that she knows that he does not reciprocate her feelings, and leaves. Karthik's friends are amazed that she has done this for him, and he has a moment of ... regret? He is thinking.

Prema and mom return home, mom scolds daughter for rescuing that rogue Karthik, she says she has a reason - she wants to take revenge on KS's family, so she wants to enter that family. Now Karthik is being forced to rethink about her and eventually he will fall in love with her and marry her secretly in defiance of his father. The provision store guy comes with provisions, Prema asks him to take it back, he says that Annachi will feel bad, she says that they do not need anything from their store any more. Mom is pleased at daughter's actions.

KS is going out of town, the store guy comes and tells him that Prema and her mother returned the stuff and said they do not need anything from them. KS tells him to take it back to Prema's house, Paati wants to know why, says he will himself go and explain to them, and then go out of town. He goes to their house, the door is open as usual, he goes inside, Janaki is stitching something. He asks her why she returned the provisions, she reminds him of what happened when she came to ask about MK, she tells him not to step inside their house again. He is stunned.

Update for Tuesday, July 6, 2010:

Scene starts with Janaki ordering KS out of her house. He tries to explain, but she will not listen. Prema comes in from the market, sees what is happening, promptly asks KS to sit and asks her mother to be polite to him. He asks her why she returned the provisions, she says she has no right to it, he says that as a parigaaram, he himself will get her married to a good guy, Janaki says that there is no need for him to do it while she is alive, and they go on like this. Prema puts a stop to it by telling her mother to keep quiet and the provisions are brought into the house.

Janaki asks Prema why she changed her mind, she explains that she wanted KS to come to their house. Further, now she has Karthik changing his mind about her, and if they cut the relationship now, that would be a big virisal, whereas if they want to take revenge, they must have a relationship, so this is the way to do it. She explains that she is neruppu, and will scorch anyone who touches her - konjum un ammavaiyum scorch paNNi vidumma! Mom is pleased to hear all this.

Tamil is getting ready for work, Kavitha is eating breakfast, Meena asks Swathi to come and eat. It seems Vasanthi is still crying. Tamil goes to wake her up, (and I am impressed that they can afford such a big house with each daughter having a separate room! - wonder what the rent is!) she cries that she finds it difficult to forget that she had a narrow escape from such a dangerous situation. She says that there can be no mannippu for her, her desire to put on makeup used to make her steal small amounts and mother did not punish her, that is why all this happened. Mother and daughter cry, luckily Tamil advises her to grow up and take a lesson from all this (thank you, God, for sparing me from further crying!) and leaves for work. As she is leaving, a car draws up and KK gets out of the car.

KK has brought a plate full of fruits. Tamil welcomes her inside, she sees a photo of a couple and is shocked - why? Tamil introduces her to Meena and the rest of the family, she asks about AM who has gone out, she appreciates the fact that her sisters are also good looking and calm like her. She explains that she has three sons, and tells M and Co. what they are all doing (or not doing!) now, and says that her FIL has told her that she must find three sisters to marry her three sons for the welfare of the family. When they met Tamil, they were impressed by her nature and so she wants to propose the marriage of her three sons to T's three sisters.

Update for Wednesday, July 7, 2010:

KK tells Tamil that she has come with a proposal to get her three sons married to T's three sisters. Right then, AM comes home and asks who she is. He asks Meena to get her something to eat, Tamil just introduces her as a friend and she explains about the proposal. AM says that they are not planning to get their daughters married, their oldest daughter is about to get married, KK says she knows about it, he says that he has some dreams and hopes and therefore he cannot agree to this now. He wants to know why her husband hasn't come, she has no reply, AM continues to ask for details about him, finally she says that KS of Murugesan stores is her husband. He orders her out, tosses aside the coffee brought by Swathi, asks what KS thinks by sending her with this proposal. She explains that KS has no idea about it, she did it to unite the two families, AM says he cannot forgive them and orders her out. She continues to plead and says let this be a parigaaram, AM continues to rant and rave and kicks her out, despite Meena's pleas (I cannot believe this man's rudeness, I know there are many men and women like this, but it is still entirely unacceptable). Tamil and her sisters and mom are shocked - by his rudeness?

KK returns, thinking about AM's necking her out. The driver tells her not to weep. She tells him not to mention this incident to anyone, and he agrees. She clutches her chest in pain, he stops and asks her what is wrong, she is unconscious. He calls MK, tells him that his mother has been admitted to Baba Hospital with chest pain. MK rushes to the ICU. His brothers also rush there, they all peek through the clear slot in the door at their mother. The driver does not reveal what happened. The doctor says there is a blood clot in her brain and he can say anything only after four hours of observation.

Sara wants to know if MK did anything to make their mother tense, he says he did not do anything but his brothers are the ones to do such stuff, the brothers come to blows, the nurse orders them out.

Freeze on KK's face, with the oxygen tube.

Monday Episode No 56 12/7/10

The KS clan rowdies adjourn to A.Malai household. In fact Sara
and karthik go first - Muthu as usual delays his sojourn. The rowdies
knock at the door, make a big drama and of course it is Tamizh
who lets them in. And of course the sons scream without mentioning
"KS is in the hospital". Karthik shouts at A.Malai and of course has
to manhandle. Every one shouts...finally Muthu arrives and contains
his brothers. Sees Tamizh and is surprised - " You know my mother !!
How can you hurt her like this??" Tamizh says that it is his mother
who irked them. Muthu says that if A.Malai is not interested in the
alliance he could have politely refused. A.Malai clan does a TJP
saying that KK came uninvited - " for a traitor like your dad...
we were very polite.." Of course no one spells out the exact reason.
Ore "pipe under "fight happens. There is a big crowd outside, the police arrives on cue ..to cut a long story short, the rowdies are taken to kambi counting. Meena does a solo RKO - "panam kaasu illattalum, manathOda irunthOm, ipdi rowdies mathiri vanthu sent our left over maanam in the kappal !!! " The daughters as usual comfort mommy.

Hospital - KS arrives and finally learns that KK is serious. Pazhani briefs him - "anni A.Malai veetu kku .....got insulted...... nenju vali....our rowdies made a galatta.....kambi counting..." KS asks darling bro to hold forte in the hospital.. goes to see his azaghu sons. The sons are not ashamed "ungalai pathi dhrogi apdi ipdi nnu pesaraan antha aal, how can we keep quiet?" KS says that he is happy that his sons are "united" in saving the family honor. Sara says that A.Malai called his dad a dhrogi "now ,spill, why so??" KS says that all that is pazhaiya story "but I am not at fault.."

Update for Tuesday, July 13, 2010:

Sara and his brothers in the lockup - KS has come to see them. Sara says they know how great a person their dad is, and how could a family call him dhrogi? This was what made their blood boil, and wants to know what happened. KS says it happened a long time back, but he didn't do anything and will tell them at the appropriate time. He says that KK is worrying about them, Sara says to tell her not to worry. KS tells the officer in charge that his sons are good guys and explains that his sons are good guys. The officer says that the offenses are all non-bailable, but since he hasn't yet filed an FIR, he will give KS one hour's time to contact Tamilarasi and get her to withdraw the case. KS hurries to her house.

Tamil is busy praying. Her whole family is speculating on the reason, she is praying that KK should get well quickly, Meena gets angry that she is praying for KK. Eka comes in and says that he has heard about it all, AM says not to talk about it. Tamil gets ready to leave, Eka tells her not to worry about anything, Meena goes outside to check for sagunam and says All Okay. Just then, KS arrives, Tamil asks him to leave, AM is about to throw him out, KS begs for understanding on their part, Meena raves, Eka adds fuel to the fire, KS pleads with Tamil, she refuses to withdraw her complaint and leaves, AM yells at him, so KS leaves, heartbroken.

KS returns to the hospital, Paati and thambi want to know if the sons have been released, he is downcast. He tells them that he couldn't get them out because Tamilselvi refused to withdraw the case and rejects the vibhuti offered by his niece. The nurse says two people can go and see KK, he doesn't want to go because she went to AM's house against his wishes, got insulted and is now here, he went to Tamil's house and she also refused to believe his innocence. Paati explains that KK went to solve the problems, he should calm himself, and she goes in with Meena.. Meena applies vibhuti to KK, Paati weeps and KS weeps from outside, mothathile everyone weeps! The camera freezes on KK's face.

Update for Wednesday, July 14, 2010:

Prema is cutting vendakkai - at the rate at which she is cutting, it will be two days before I can make a sambar. Janaki comes in with flowers, explains that KK is in the hospital and her three sons in jail and KS is shuttling between the hospital and the police station. Prema thinks this merits a poomalai, Janaki says that she will get the malai when they have more problems, then she adds that Prema will do it even if the gods don't and then she brings all the flowers and arranges them in Prema's hair, saying that she has more faith in Prema. Prema is thinking and assures her mother that her belief will not be in vain.

Tamil and Kavitha in the financier's office - his assistant calls Ashok and updates him, Ashok tells him to keep him posted as to why they are there, and is thinking that this finance company is their rival, why is Tamil there? Tamil goes inside, sees the financier, realizes that this is their rival company and walks out, telling Kavitha that they should go elsewhere. The owner says that he has the money ready and tells Tamil that he is happy she is coming to him for finance, her father is his role model and gives her the cash. Tamil and Kavitha are happy, she asks about the interest and documentation, he says that she need not pay interest, she need not even repay the principal, she just needs to do two things for him. His sweets company is not doing well, she must give the formula for the special sweets in Annamalai Sweets Company, and she must join Annamalai Sweets Company. Tamil gets angry, refuses the money, says she is not for sale, and leaves. She tells Kavitha not to talk about this, as she is worried what will happen if Ashok comes to know about this.

Ashok is pacing in his office. His phone rings, it is his secretary saying that Tamil has arrived. He asks her why she is late, did she go to Swastik finance? She hesitates, he asks why she hid this matter from him, she asks him to forgive her and starts to say that once she knew it was their rival company, she ..., but he does not listen to her, and asks his assistant to bring something. The man brings a suitcase, he shows it to Tamil, it has Rs. 50 lakhs, he tells her that he appreciates her honesty and loyalty to her company, even he may not have been this loyal had he been in her place. He says he has finally understood why his father used to praise her so much. She is overcome with gratitude when he tells her to take the cash and get their house back.

Sada wants to know why Meena didn't call him earlier and wants to do something to KS's family. AM tells him that the sons being in jail is punishment enough. Sada says he has to do something or the other to them ....
