That's been my thought for the past two or so weeks now. I wouldn't call those songs "easy" per se, but I do think they are very much in his comfortable zone. That is why I see Sreeram and Shivam in the finale instead of Sreeram and Rakesh. Versatility is important. After you are a playback singer, you can take songs that you are the best in, but before then, you have to show some capability to attempt songs outside of your genre. Sreeram did that today, and I think judges should've appreciated his performance!

Rakesh is playing it safe. And that's not going to land him in the finale if he keeps continuing to give us the same expression, the same smile, and the same genre of songs over and over again.

Pushing limits and stepping out of comfort zones - Thats the reason I appreciate Shivam a lot too. He is not as accomplished as Sreeram, and has received criticism. Yet he goes out and pushes himself. He takes the risks to prove himself. He is showing that desire to not be just a pretty face. Sreeram no doubt is the best this year. But I feel the judges are right in not coddling him too much. Sometimes people dont push themselves enough if they get praise only. And Sreeram seems to be the kind of guy who takes every bit of feedback in good stride.

I am kind of bored from Rakesh's performances, they are almost of the same genre now. I know that he can sing a romantic song with excellent feel, but now as a part of the audience, I need variety and freshness. Just like I was surprised that Sreeram and Shivam sung such difficult songs in this round, I want Rakesh to take some risks and bring something more innovative instead of the same smiling, romantic performance. Though I have to say that he has done a marked improvement, now he needs to push himself more.

i agree he's always singing romantic songs which he is gud at bt he never experiments man or tries his hands at some other genre atleast and obviously than he'll get appreciation for what he sings cuz he's gud in it bt there' no versatility
