The whole frame of mind changes when you get to know a woman cannot have children. People have very little understanding or sympathy for such women. Our new serial Godh Bharaai by Sphere Origins highlights this issue keeping in mind the sentiments of woman unable to bear kids and with a hope that the show will change the attitude of the society towards such women positively.

Our protagonist Aastha remarked "It feels like their life is not worth that much because if something were to go wrong there would be nobody behind left without a mother, as for childless woman.  For society a childless woman is like a shadow ' you may or may not notice it on the wall. It doesn't have a shape nor does it make a sound and it disappears in the night like it never existed. You can have the knowledge of Einstein or have Newton's intelligence; nothing will deter a woman from talking about her child, while you, the childless woman, can hear yourself carrying your own conversation ' talking to yourself, quiet..!!!.

Women's lack of bearing a child makes her lose some of her best friends".

I take the liberty to introduce you to Agnihotri family.

Aastha: Pallavi Subhash is acting as wife of Shivam and the ideal bahu of the Agnihotri family. Aastha is an extremely simple, caring and loving person. She is not demanding and is contend being part of this happy family. She depends on her husband Shivam for all the big decisions of their life.

Pallavi Subhash is a well known face in the Marathi theatre and film circuit. She has acted in many famous Marathi play. Her first Hindi TV show was Tumhari Disha. Some of the famous Hindi serials Pallavi has worked in are Karam Ana Apna,Kasam Se and Basera. Apart from TV serials she has also appeared in TV commercials.

Shivam: Shakti Anand aka Shivam is the second son of the Agnihotri family. He is the son every parent dreams to have and a husband every woman pray to get, a complete family man. Shivam loves his wife Aastha and family dearly and will not do anything to hurt them. No matter what the problem is he has the ability to cheer up his loved ones. Shivam is a good friend, husband and son; trusting everybody around him is his only weakness.

Shakti Anand is a renowned television actor; he started his career with Kyun ki Saas Bhi Kabhie Bahu Thi. The other shows in which Shakti was seen are Saara Aakash,Sambhav Asambhav,Crime Oatrol and ek Ladki Anjani Si.

Ramakant: Ravindra Laxaman Mankani plays the Patriarch of the Agnihotri and authoritarian father of Shivam, Gaurav & Kavita. Though retired from his government job he doesn't believe in retirement and continues his social work and writing. But according to him the home is a woman's kingdom and there he allows his wife to rule the home with love, honesty and sincerity. Though his approach towards life is positive he is cynical about certain social issues.

Ravindra Laxaman Mankani is a National and State awards winning actor. Before venturing into acting Ravindra was a civil engineer. He has acted in many Marathi and Hindi serials and also acted in Marathi films which have won him many awards. Some of the serials in which Ravindra has been a part of are: Saakshi, Aahat, CID Special Bureau and Jhansi Ki Rani.

Bhagyashree: Mangal Kenkre playing wife of Ramakant Agnihotri is calm,contented and a loving person who knows how to keep her family well-knit. She is extremely fond of her younger daughter in-law Aastha and often supports and stands up for her in times of crises.

Mangal Kenkre is a well known film, theatre and television actress. Many of her films have won international accolades.

Gaurav: Rajesh Jais aka Gaurav is the eldest son of the Agnihotri family. He is hard working, honest and calm. His demand from life is very few and he loves the simple joys of life like playing with his daughter. He runs his small business. Unlike his wife he is the non-interfering and si supportive about all family decisions.

Rajesh Jais is a versatile actor and si known more for his comic roles.

Meena: Aanchal Dwivedi aka Meena is Gaurav's ambitious and pushy wife. She is jealous of the rapport Aastha shares with the entire family and secretly hopes that Aastha does not ever conceive. Meena never misses an opportunity to humiliate Aastha.

Aanchal Dwivedi is a famous TV actress known for her negative roles in Saat Phere,Nagin and Santaan.

Bharat: Mohit Mallik aka Bharat is the business partner and friend of Shivam. He has come up in life the hard way. In spite of all the bitter experience in life he is not cynical. Content and happy with what life has to offer his life surrounds his mother Indira. Bharat is married to Avni and believes in complete honesty in his relationship.

Mohit Mallik was earlier seen in popular shows like Milli,Pari Hoon Main,Banoo Main Teri Dulhann,Durgesh Nandini and Nach Baliye.

Avni: Neha Kaul aka Avni is a workaholic and a successful jewellery designer. Avni was once a very bubbly and effervescent girl. After a failed relationship she has now become cold and lonely at heart. But Bharat who saw through her cold faade and makes a break through. Both in her and Bharat's case it is a case of love striking for the second time.

Neha Kaul is a known face on television and has acted in Kyunki Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai and galli Galli Sim sim.
