Aamir race passes Shah Rukh in the US

Shah Rukh is a name popular abroad too. His films like 'Devdas', 'Veer Zaara', 'K3G', 'Main Hoon Na', 'Swades' and 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' did quite well at the box office in the US. But Aamir Khan's latest release 'Rang De Basanti' has bettered him by making a collection of USD 2,008,301 as against his 'Kal Ho Naa Ho', which fetched USD 1,956,478.

'Rang De Basanti' is also doing well in the UK. It has race passed films like 'Bewafaa', 'Black', 'Parineeta', 'Bunty Aur Babli', 'Garam Masala' and 'Barsaat' in less than four weeks by collecting a whooping GBP 760,000. It has even beaten his own films 'The Rising' and 'Lagaan'. The trade is expecting the collections to go up to around GBP 800,000. Now, this is big buck indeed!
