Yes he was. Acc. to SharmaJi, He is from Nepali origin and had started his career in early 80s in Bollywood in movies like Ek Duje Ke Liye, but did more of Nepali movies after that. He was more popular in Nepal mainly for doing negative characters, his popularity was like Gabbar Singh or Mogambo in Nepali cinema.
