The village is by chandigardh, I am from punjab well living in uk but in india its punjab so i was kind of wondering as well..
its true its more hindi. I live in the pend when i go from herei do not find it alot different to punjabi just a thought to add..from my personal experiance.
As for hindus its definetly a more hindu area but its for the purpose of the show i guess..
