This is not a village setting from Punjab. This must be in Haryana somewhere.... close to Punjab border, because those people can speak and hindi both. It is very similar to Punjab, but not exactly. The "Panchayat" is all composed of people with Hindu names, sentences written in Hindi on boards, everyone speaking very good hindi. In a real Punjabi village 1-2 people may speak Hindi, but not everyone, so I am 200% sure that it is not a Punjabi village.... SIALBA MAJRI is a village near my friend's in law's ancestral village in RUPNAGAR district. This is not how people speak there. They all speak Punjabi and their Punjabi is not the understandable punjabi by people who live in the cities. They speak very "pendoo Punjabi" which is even hard to understand for us sometimes.......
We dont do Aarti when someone comes to our houses and there are not many Hindu families living in villages of Punjab (especially these villages in RUPNAGAR district)
I am watching this show for entertainment I just wish they would have actually gone to an actual Punjabi Village.

you may be right but when i googled Sialba Majri it showed its in Punjab ..Mohali district ...... 🤔 may be they have chosen only those house holds who are well versed in Hindi so that the contestants are a ease 😃

i agree with you about the hindi-punjabi thing. but i have no idea where the village is located. but you are totally right about pendu punjabi being difficult to understand. the punjabi they speak on the show is much easier compared to the punjabi they speak in the villages of punjab.

This place is in Mohali district which in turn is just next to Chandigarh. Its more in proximity to many of Haryana's major cities and falls on GT Road 😃 Hence the hindi culture bcoz of chandigarh, not bcoz of haryana. Ppl from haryana speak haryanvi, which is a lot diff from the hindi spoken on the show 😃
