Britney Spears parties at Mardi Gras

Spears told the TV show Good Morning America that she surprised a group of high school dancers, taking them shopping and out to eat at a top restaurant.

"They dance so great," said Spears, 24, a Louisiana native. "It was an honour to be here with all of them."

Pictures showed Briteny Spears dancing on a balcony and throwing beads down on the Mardi Gras parade. Spears gave birth to a son last year and said the devastation of New Orleans has shocked her more than most people.
