As a child artiste, I did a couple of movies. I took a break from my studies and had my portfolio shot. I have also done a couple of commercials. You are in news with your character as Kali, Kusum's step-daughter in the serial Kkusum. If you had to describe her, what would you say?
Kali is a spoilt brat. She is pampered, stubborn and wants all her wishes, whether rational or irrational to be fulfilled at any cost. She is basically insecure as she feels that she has been denied her rightful claim to her father's love due to her stepmother and stepsister. How different is Rucha from a negative character like Kali?
Very different! I am a simple girl who never behaves badly with her parents. My parents always come first. However, the only similarity that I share with my on-screen character Kali is that we both love our parents tremendously. Unlike Kali, I am not rude and harsh with people. Would you call a character like Kali negative?
No. She has grey shades to her character. However she is not a totally negative character. She loves her parents and goes to any lengths to achieve her true love, Garv. She truly loves these people. Were there some problems between you and your co-star who plays Kumud?
Yes, there were some problems, but we have sorted them out. The media over hyped it. I would not like to comment on it further. Have you now set your sights on Bollywood?
