Abhishek stands up for Salman

Junior B surprisingly defended Salman Khan against a cheeky journo on a social networking website

Don't know how far this is true, but the story doing the rounds is that Abhishek Bachchan stood up for Salman Khan on a social networking platform when a misinformed journo attacked the macho actor for doing a hosiery commercial.

The journo reportedly said that "big league heroes don't sell undergarments".

But Abhi, who is more Net savvy than Salman, rose to the latter's defence valiantly and said that Salman was not the only top guy doing hosiery ads. There was also Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan.

Which is true! But why did the journo conveniently omit their names and just pick on poor Salman, nobody knows. Nor why did AB Jr spring to Salman's rescue given the, well, history behind them.

i think abhishek just wants to play nice with everyone, it was Ash's past when abhishek had nothing to do with her, and im sure she wouldnt want abhshek dragged into any of it either.

I don't remember Abhi and Sallu having any anomosity towards eachother, I thought I remember reading once that the Bachchans were quite fond of Sallu, now if their Bahu has issues then what can they do.

Never liked Abhisekh but he generally seems like a nice guy who got caught up between a narcissist father, an angry mother and a diplomatic wife.

I'm not surprised. Bachchans never had problem with Salman and abhishek won't make enemies just because his wife.

Salman & Abhi have never had a problem.Abhi said that whenever Salman's around he makes it a point to visit him.

Amitabh Bachchan had also written a very nice article on Salman and how they all celebrated Rakhi when his daughter visited them on sets.

But I can understand that things will be awkward between them owing to the past.

I think mumbaimirror has nothing new to write about or else why would they talk about "tweet" which was two months old! Journalist in question was Anupama chopra and she was generally talking about mainstream actor endorsing undergarments and comparing it to Hollywood stars..She only remember Salman endorsing it but Abhi tweeted back with other star's name and also Sonam and Ritesh tweeted back about Hollywood stars like Eva mendes and others endorsing undergarments...and what not!...

I think Mumbai mirror has dearth of news....Boring...
