The idea of money buying happiness is interesting. Yes, most people feel they do need more money to be happy, but what is that "happiness" they are speaking of? If that idea means owning newer appliances than before, then money can buy you happiness. If that idea is going out to eat dinner more often, then money can buy you happiness. But, if happiness is truly living one's life to the fullest, then money cannot buy happiness. People know that this idea of happiness is materialistic and shallow, and they are quick to point it out in others, but cannot see it in themselves. Money cannot buy happiness, unless happiness is measured by possessions.
Sir/Madam,
You speak in generalities that is tantamount to hand-waving! Perhaps you have an understanding of the term that you throw out so cavalierly: "living one's life to the fullest" ... who is the arbiter of what 'to the fullest' means?!!! Buying applicances and eating dinner is an integral part of living one's life to the fullest (I think you mean eating dinner at a restaurant, because I wish every one on this planet were able to eat dinner on a daily basis) !!! Also, please try and divest yourself of this idea that being materialistic is shallow!!! The latter is especially difficult for Indians who have long been brainwashed into believing it to be the root of all evil! 😕😕

Behold - the level and vision of the deep thinker on 'Debate Mansion' ... Amazing!!!

Who are you to comment on other's thought process or not? Firstly, you should go and learn debating and then come back. Secondly, have you ever heard of a sense of humor or are devoid of that too?

Sorry you can debate all you want perhaps with Mr. Vinu ji.
I am just a simpleton and my vision is poor. I see nothing beyond the physical.

Well we are taking this topic very lightly and joking too. Guess it sent the wrong signals.
Everyone knows about this and there is nothing much to debate.
If money does not buy happiness why do the Evangelist and Religious bodies all collect money.😉
Now God does not need money but his agent collect money in his name.

Khaty Bhai wants to open topics that are useful for mankind and he has very good intentions.
I appreciate what he is saying and we all know he is right.
But just for fun we are trying to create some diversions.😆
