One thing I forgot to add - I'm glad Sudha forced Jyoti to return her mangal-sutra. From what I understand, if a married woman wears this for the well being of her hubby, then it's even more inappropriate for Jyoti to wear it after she's divorced, regardless of whether or not she wishes Pankaj well. Unlike the emotional Sharmas, who looked appalled @ Sudha daring to ask this from her, Sudha took the practical, sensible view and urged Jyoti to send Pankaj a message that she was complete w/o him, and didn't need such a crutch. Even Jyoti was unwilling to let go of it, but Sudha reminded her that this is something Pankaj had given her, and therefore, she had to give it back.

I admire Sudha so much more than Sushma. The latter still wears her m-s even though there isn't a snowball's chance in hell that she'd return to Brij, and yet, she keeps wearing it, and equally stupidly, urged Jyoti to keep doing the same. I'm glad Sudha forced her to get rid of that ball & chain.

The other thing I admired about Sudha this time is that she just ignored Padma, who was wondering about her jewelery (why, Padma? Just so that you can embarrass her into lending it to Sushma & getting Sudha into more trouble w/ CM? Even if Sudha hadn't returned her jewelery, she'd still have done well to go to the Sharma's undecked, so that Padma doesn't embarrass her into parting w/ something she's wearing). She even avoided Jyoti's question on the same (or else, Jyoti would have given her a lecture on how she needs to respect CM), and went straight to the point.

Sudha is now the most mature member of both the Sharma & Vashisth families, bar none. Except maybe Uday.
