A few weeks back I got an email forward from my cousin twice removed. It was about how you can be part of an SMS chain where you can "register" as a donor in many cities in India and as soon as a need for your blood group arises, you will get an SMS and you can go and donate. I hope that TV serials take that extra step to have a public service announcement to improve awareness of such wonderful initiatives being taken by simple people like Suryakanth everyday in India and other parts of the world.
