I must congratulate you for being smart and also starting up a worthwhile (for whatever its worth) topic. But I do not agree with your theory(ies), though in some areas I share your thoughts.
I agree we Indians are very very emotional but not fools. I dont think We Indians will get carried away with a musical competition like SRGMP C2005 to actually affect our nationalistic thoughts. Most of us Indians very well know that we are being taken for a ride by a certain bunch of bafoons and unfortunately we are allowing such a thing to happen, very SAD. But don't you think that - "You may fool all the people some of the time, you can even fool some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all the time."
Regionalism is / was / (may be) always there in India. Take a closer look and you will find many examples of regional favouritism. But look from global point of view, do we project India as a reginally divided country? NO!!!
India is seen as a country having thousands of years rich culture, a fast developing economy. All these despite having so many diversities (regions, religions, language, races, classes etc.)
We are all proud of our Motherland!!! We are proud to be Indians!!!
Let me put here a line of a song in my mothertongue
"Emon Desh Ti Kothao Khuje Pabena Ko Tumi, Sokol Desher Rani Seje Amar Jonmobhoomi" - I guess most indians will get the meaning...
Proud of An Indian, Love my country...
Jai Hind!!!
Saum
P.s. Funny to read someone's post that India can be over by starting a musical competition like this...!!! Heights of a thought... 😡
