I read an article of Sushant in Maharashtra Times. It was in Marathi, so here is the translated article for all…
Sushant Singh Rajput
In Pavitra Rishta many actors are Maharashtrian and my character 'Manav' the main lead which I play is also Maharashtrian. But I don't know much of Marathi, so my co-stars help me in getting my dialogues and pronunciation correct. We all have blast on the sets. Working with everyone gives me feeling that I am a part of Maharashtrian family.
I have 2-3 Maharashtrian friends from whom I got to know Marathi. Like many of our languages, Marathi also has its rich heritage and culture. I like Maharashtrian dishes. Of them I like puranpoli the most!! Whenever I wish to eat puranpoli, (in hindi) main mere co-star Ankita ko maska maarta hoon. Then she brings it for me….
I have worked in theatre, therefore I am familiar with Marathi theatre industry. They are really great people. The intensity and energy with which they work is really commendable and cannot be matched.
