Round 3: Mahalaxmi Iyer

Hmm she has sung very well here. loved it. 👏👏 9/10

I maybe wrong because i don't consider myself well-versed in the field of singing, but according to my evaluation, i think that the high notes were not reached upon properly and the singer also seemed a bit breathless in some moments when the song's beat went fast.. the singing is not as passionate as the words used in the lyrics are..

of course these are my own view-points on this song, overall i would like to give 7 to this song.

Excellent singing by Mahalxmi. She DID reach the high notes in my view - the best high notes i've seen in this competition yet. A rather meandering composition though - it doesn't seem to go anywhere. (But really nice arrangements). The harkats are lovely - slightly westernised to fit the mood of the song.

It is a very confident performance - her voice doesn't shake AT ALL (unlike Shaan's) and she slips between the notes so smoothly. Someone's been doing their riyaaz properly!

Overall - she scores highly in every department. The high notes make me want to give her a 10, but based on my previous scores, I'll have to stick with giving her a 9.

This is another performance which should be sufficient to take her to the next round.

Once again great performance by Mahalaxmi! This is the best I've heard from her in this competition and arguably the best I've ever heard from her. I agree that she handled all the difficult parts, the high notes, perfectly. I also think she sang it very passionately, which was definitely required for this song. You know, once again, excellent voice quality, and the difficult parts like

"Yeh Tera Dil Hai Sanam..."
were sang really well. And then in the end, she shows her fine voice quality singing with Shaan and still making her voice shine. I think this performance would've been a 10 if she had sang the song more, but she sang less. I mean, for the parts she sang, she was brilliant and 10 caliber. But she sang less than half the song I believe. So I'm going to have to stick with a 9, even though the parts she sang deserved a 10.

Luvly performance i will give 9. I don't know why the female singers are sidelined so much. They hardly get 2-3 lines even these days.
