Im just trying to put myself in your shoes. Its easier to say "go tell someone" than actually doing it and being in the situation. I knew a girl that got raped and it took her well over 6 months to tell someone.

Why cant a guy be a rape victim?

Guys can be raped by other guys or girls.

Of course, but it's the same thing, he/she is a threat to society. He/She shouldn't recieve a major punishment. He should, I guess, spend some time reflecting on what he/she did.

I can't believe some of the posts I am seeing here...are we really sympathizing with rapists simply because they happen to be underaged? 😕 If someone is matured enough to understand what rape is, then I am quite surhe/she should be matured enough to receive the punishment set up for it.

As for saving the family - pray, tell me, if this same person goes on bonking members after members in your family - do you really feel your family would remain "safe"?

I 100% agree with the bold. I would never sympathize with someone who wittingly and willingly commits rape.

However, a lot of times sexual abusers especially minors are victims of sexual abuse themselves. Their sexual abuses blurs the lines of what is appropriate for them. Sometimes they are frightened to speak up or furious and they act out in enactment. There have been several situations where a parent complained that a classmate or friend was inappropriately touching their children or their children felt uncomfortable around them. Upon investigating it was found that these kids who were inappropriately touching others were actually being raped and abused at home. These are very rare and few circumstances where I sympathize with the abuser, because they are unaware of morality and immediate psychiatric help will prevent them from growing up disturbed to become sociopaths.

But unfortunately the crime seems to continue perhaps due to the slowwwww judiciary system in India.

Thats where you go Stabler on people. In SVU detective Stabler tracks a child trafficker to Prague. When he is finally caught the cops in Prague are glad that Stabler is taking the convict to USA for trial and it is being allowed under US jurisdiction. Their own system is too corrupt. However, they welcome Stabler to take advantage of their system. That is beat the living daylights out of the guy. Police brutality, what police brutality. The guy picked a fight with his cellmate.

Although the cop has to be one with integrity like Stabler.

why is everyone so harsh?

15 is pretty much old enough to know what is wrong and right and what rape is. He is either evil or seriously mentally disturbed. In both cases he needs to be reported immediately, either to prevent him from future abuses or get him the help he needs.

This is not harsh. It is fair. Would you want another person scarred for life? Maybe this 20 year old woman handled it. What if the next victim is devastated and broken over it. Moreover, if he needs psychiatric help why not now when minor records could potentially be expunged if he is rehabilitated or wait till he is an adult and ruin his life in a much worse way by committing abuse as an adult.

Sarina - did you go through the entire thread? What's your take on this:
i don't know why i expected anything different. Atleast one person to see my point of view. he is a kid and i am the victim aunt. I can't bring myself to tell anyone because I don't want to see him in trouble.

I can't hate him
Saying is one thing, and doing it in real life is another. It becomes even harder when the person you have loved through out your entire life goes on to do such horrible acts. We have to look at it from her POV as well. Even reporting marital rape isn't what every woman can do, most remains quite.
That said, I hold onto what I said before - this requires to be reported immediately.

After going thru the last few pages I can only sympathize with the victim. such incidents R not as uncommon as we wud like to b'liv. Now if the aunt is not a frequent visitor she may choose to avoid meeting that nephew in case she does not feel like confronting him & the issue may end there at least for her.
But wud she B able to remain silent knowing that other female relatives too cud fall a victim?Wouldnt she want to alert them at least ?
I feel that if the aunt wants to avoid a repetition of such an ugly incident then she should muster courage and sternly tell the nephew that such behaviour is not welcome & if he doesnt promise to stop then & there , she wud have to report it to other family members. If spoken to sternly & in earnest - this should deter the boy.

When he is sexually assaulted, they call it molested
In India when a girl is beaten up, is used foul language against, or sexually assaulted, they call it molested.
Which molestation are you talking about? The guy one or the girl one?
