Yes they are going to pretend they dont care about each other, santu already told him she doesnt love him in jail, & he said he has no worldly relations with anyone, yet there was quite an eyelock on fri! Santu lowered her gaze ultimately, did u notice? 😉

My feel is DM will do the Nyay as soon as he has enough details to come to a conclusion. I have not seen the serial enough but to justice to the role that DM portrays, it's important that he does what is right. I don't think they will show him playing games or try to extract more information from Santo in name of justice.

My another hunch is that he already knows about the actual killer which he would have figured out later (after Santo's punishment). May be Birwa would have confessed to him. Anyway the death plot is good for him to know how life will turn out in his absence. He may want to see how Santo uses the POA. May be the reason why Birwa also acted tough against Santo on his return from jail. May be both of them want to test how time or jail time has changed Santo.
