January 25, 2010 Written Update

Padma tells Jyoti to stop all this because… someone is coming for Deepu's rishta. Jyoti and KK are glad hearing this. Jyoti tells Padma that she'll call and tell everyone to come tomorrow, since they have a lot of preparations to do. Jyoti leaves and Padma shows KK a wedding card for Vishal (Deepu's friend) and the rishta that earlier came for Deepu. Deepu walks in hearing abt Vishal's shaadi but walks away on reading who he is marrying. Padma goes after him and tells him that a rishta is coming for him today, and to get ready. He tells her he doesn't want to get married unless his sister's lives' get fixed. Padma asks him, what if they never do? Jyoti walks in hearing this.

Later one man comes to the house with a bagful of things to buy. Padma tells him to sit and she will go get the money. She is surprised finding only 200 rs in her wallet and Sushma reminds her she had spent the money on the deposit for the dance school. Padma gives Sushma the 200 and tells her to buy whatever she can with that much. Deepu comes home afterwards and angrily storms into his room. Padma follows him. He tells her that the electricity bill came today, and if he doesn't pay it, their electricity will be taken away.

The girl's family arrives. KK, Padma, and Dadi introduce themselves. Sushma and Jyoti come there and they ask about their husbands and where they live. They lie that Sushma's husband is a classical singer who is out of the country at the moment doing some shows. They look at Jyoti, feeling they've seen her somewhere, but let it go. She tells them that her husband is a professor at a college. The girl's family tells them that they'll def want to meet their husbands. Deepu stands up and tells them the truth about Brij being in jail for domestic violence, and Jyoti living here due to a misunderstanding at her sasural. He walks out, leaving them all stunned.
