Yup, this film was that rare chance to dance that our heroes hardly ever get. I told Shahid this was his Amrapali and Guide. He now joins Rishi Kapoor, Kamal Haasan and Hrithik Roshan as the greatest dancing stars of Indian cinema.

When I first met Shahid he was dating Kareena Kapoor. When she grew interested in Shahid I was one of the first people she made a blushing confession to. She tried hard to fit into Shahid's world. I remember when I met them together they seriously discussed a satsang that Shahid's father wanted them to attend. Shahid's father Pankaj is a spiritual soul. The son, I think, has imbibed his father's serenity.

When people see a star, fans don't care how tired or busy he or she is. They just want to click a picture, preferably with the entire extended family (the fan's, not the star's) in the frame.

That evening Shahid made me realise how important it is for an actor to connect with the outside world even if it means sacrificing that precious and cramped time and space for family and friends.

Funny, how the actors who make the most sensational news are often the least successful candidates for stardom. Maybe it's the nature of the beast. The more successful you are, the less time you have to think of ways of staying in the news.

Can you imagine Hema Malini or Sridevi cooking up aromatic scandals in the kitchen of the mind to stay in the news? Or Mr Bachchan inviting mediapersons home to wine and dine them for good reviews? Many of our actors act much better off screen than they do on screen. They bitch about their colleagues behind their backs and then hug them the next morning for the cameras. We now have this desperate actor and his publicist planting stories proving to the world that he's all of a sudden he's damn chummy with the Bachchans.

Should precious print be wasted on such bilgy self-glorification? Or are we the media supposed to print anything that promises a juicy headline? The worst blow was this glamourous star-couple who called up frantically in the middle of the night to accuse a young bright Kapoor of "using" their "name" to promote his new film.

It was a lie. Ironically, I was the one proven a liar when the story appeared. The couple just disowned their accusation wholesale proclaiming they had nothing against the Kapoor. I've learnt the hard way that there are no friends in the entertainment industry, only working relationships, and no relationships that actually work beyond the work place.

Since Kareena, Shahid has been linked with various other beautiful and glamourous ladies. Knowing both Priyanka Chopra and Shahid the way I do it's hard to imagine them as a couple. They belong to two completely different planets.

Not that incompatibility has ever stopped showbiz couples from seeing one another. When Akshay Kumar had begun dating Twinkle Khanna I thought this was the most unlikely couple ever. Today after seeing Akshay and Twinkle together and so happy for so many years, Shahid and Priyanka don't seem that odd any more. Not that I am asking either. Whether they are seeing one another or not I hope to continue seeing eye-to-eye with them through all their meetings and partings.

Ouch. Looks like Subhash K Jha is upset about something with Saifeena. So they called him up with the story. Hmmm... interesting.

Look who is accusing who of talking behind their backs.. well.. dear sir arent you doing the same thing.. to the stars and on a much bigger scale.. And and bitching about Saifeena after the incident has been done with and over with.. is kinda like too little too late. Altho I have to say that Srk and Bachchans do have weird relationship.. they act friendly for publcity.. but it is from both sides.. Bachchans are more publicity hungry then anyone else.. and why only them.. everyone in bollywood.. lives by the phrase.. any publicity is good publicity..

Yeah like 9 months too late. I guess he's not getting interviews from Saifeena about their European holidays anymore.

Eh, the whole "he's using our name for publicity" story always looked false from the beginning. So its not like he made some grave revelation.

he's just re-reminding us of his unending love towards saifeena😎...like tht comment was already in the pits,he cant do any more damage ,he should have chosen a recent happening..maybe some new back-biting stories😍
