Shubhangi Atre has to be one of the most talented actresses on Indian Television today. I may sound bias because she is not only my favourite actress, but also my role model.
I first watched her in KZK where she played a small cameo role (Palchin, Prem's wife) and quite honestly, I wasn't too fond of her. I found her acting raw and she was just another freshie. I remember surfing through a few channels and then stumbled upon 'Kasturi' and noticed Shubhangi playing the main lead. At first I was like "oh great. *sighs*" but then I started watching Kasturi everyday (nothing else was on T.V at the time) and soon, I was kind of addicted 😆
I hadn't even realized how much I fell in love with the show and Shubhangi until there were rumours that the Creative Heads of BT were considering to replace SA. At that moment, I think I realized how much I adored SA. Petitions were sent, stampedes (on I-F) were formed, and we fought day and night to keep Shubhangi on the show.
Well, it was successful, SA stayed in Kasturi, and she proved time and time again what a wonderful actress she is. Her chemistry with each of her costars just awed me.
Shubhangi Atre is a phenomenal young actress! The way she evokes emotions just with her facial expressions is a treat to watch! She's just perfect in every single way. I can go on and on about her. She's a petite diva! LOL! A true sweetheart. She can pull anything off- western, traditional- ANYTHING! She dances like a pro (she's a trained Kathak dancer) and she has the most adorable daughter on this planet! I've watched all her SBS interviews, and in most of them, her daughter, Ashi, is present! HAHAHHA they are the CUTEST mother-daughter duo ever!
This post is HUGE but you know what? I needed to share my love for Shubhangi with all of you! She's etched a very special place in my heart, and I hope she does the same to all of you in this new show. All the very best Shubhu! I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE you with all my heart! I know you'll do justice to your role and I know that this show will be tres tres TREEEES successful!
