VIDEO THREAD: Toshi's movie songs and compositions

Hi all,

I have been a frequent visitor to India forums for many years now but have never joined before. I am a webmaster myself and have several TV shows websites too. So, I visit quite often though I do not post or have never registered till date. I have been a Toshi fan since his SVOI performances. But frankly speaking I have also felt a bit sad listening to his songs till now in MKMM. He is not sounding the Toshi I know. I also read a few threads regarding it today here. But then I again checked all the songs he has sung in Bollywood movies till now. Frankly speaking after listening to his songs I would say that Toshi is not yet lost. I also do not like the fame getting into his mind and attitude but no reality show contestant in India has reached so much success within a single year as Toshi has reached.

I am dedicating this thread to Toshi and all Toshi fans. I will be updating all his movie songs he has sung or composed till now. Many people might not know how many movies or what songs he has sung and so I thought it would be a better idea to include the videos of the songs here. If you know any more film songs he has sung, then please contribute too. For now, I will only include the songs which he has either composed or sung in films and wont include the reality shows songs though I might later on.

I will start first with some lesser popular songs as most people know Raaz 2, Jashn, Jail and other such hit songs he has sung.

The first song I am posting is from the movie Kisaan and the song is called Waqt Ki Dhoop. The movie was not a big one at the box office but had a lot of stars including Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Jackie Shroff, Dia Mirza and many others.

The song is sung by Toshi but the music is composed by Daboo Malik.

The next song I am posting is the title song of the Bobby Deol - Kangana Ranaut starrer movie "Vaada Raha - I Promise". The song is sung by Toshi and the music is composed by the duo Toshi-Sharib. This is a soft melody and is the original song. There is also a remix sung by Toshi which I will post later on in this thread.

The next song I am posting is one which perhaps most of you have never heard and dont know much. It has not been publicly released much and is from the movie "Veer". The song name is "Kanha " and it is a folk classical song and regarded by many music reviewers perhaps as the best song of the upcoming popular Salman Khan movie "Veer". The background of the song, chorus etc. has been sung by Toshi, Sharib though the main female voice is ofRekha Bhardwaj. The song is quite unconventional and many say it will be a refreshing song as such folk songs have not been included in mainstream movies for a long time.

The next song is the remix version of the song "Vaada Raha" which I have posted above.

The next song is the one which had been on the music charts for a long time in 2009. The song is the original verison of the "Sainya Ve" song from the Neil Nitin Mukesh and Mugdha Godse starrer "Jail". Toshi has sung the song and the brother duo Toshi-Sharib have also composed the music for all the songs in that movie.

Toshi and Sharib have also written the lyrics of all versions of this Sainya Ve song. They are singer, composer as well as lyricist of all the three versions of this song.

The next song I am posting is another popular song by Toshi from the same Madhur Bhandarkar movie "Jail" and the brother duo has again composed the music for this song too. The song is called "Milke Yun Laga" and it was also on the music charts for quite sometime.

Sharib and A Turaz have also written the lyrics of this song.

The next song I am posting is from Jail too and it is the "Rock Version" of the song "Sainya Ve" and is sung by Toshi and composed by the brother duo again. Frankly speaking one listening to all the songs, I find their work as music director in all the songs very brilliant. The music is new and refreshing in all the songs and the different versions.

The next song I am posting is from the original version of "Maahi Ve" from the Emraan Hashmi-Kangana Ranaut starrer Raaz 2 with which Toshi made his entry into movie singing and which remained at the top of the charts for a long time. The music was also composed by the brother duo of Toshi-Sharib in the songs of this movie.
