If optimists wear nothing, cynics must wear too much I think.

Cynics wore a shawl so that ppl did not cast their evil eyes on his optimism 😆

Well, I'm kind of on 2 minds with this. I mean, you should have school uniforms to show discipline and make sure that you aren't wearing inappropriate clothes(especially girls) but at the same time, you need to wear something comfortable and something that suits you.

Uniform helps to create a strong sense school ethos and a sense of belonging to a particular community. As such it promotes discipline and helps to drive up academic standards.

Plus Uniform acts as a social leveller, under which all students are equal in the eyes of the school and of each other. In institutions without uniform students are often competitive and worry endlessly about their appearance and the clothes they should wear. Pupils without expensive designer clothes and trainers may be singled out as social outcasts, or stigmatised as being from poor backgrounds. For these reasons many parents prefer uniforms as they save them money on buying clothes for school wear.

Navy and white - elementary school
Khakhi and white - middle school
So called freedom - high school

When I was forced to wear a uniform, I hated it. Now that I look back, it makes sense ... children need discipline. Plus with the amount of skankwhores out there, uniforms become a must unfortunately.

Even coming out of school, and into the workplace setting. People still don't know how to dress. Just because there is no proper dress code does not mean that you can put on whatever you want. In the workplace, business casual is the way to go ... but people think just because you can't wear jeans, sweatpants cut it or something. Gets on my last nerve.

Nice topic Sab
Well I always used 2 moan about uniform( though tbh our wasnt too bad, it was just black), but I think there are lots of good things
It saves so much time int eh mornings, its so much cheaper
In my school at least, no uniform isn't as simple as wear whatever you like, its smart dress code so you end up buying the equivalent of two complete wardrobes, one for school and one for out
And there's a lot of discussion about what people wear
Uniform definitely makes everyhting simpler
