Introductory episode of CID

Does anyone remember the introductory episode of C.I.D., the one aired on 1st jan 1997 ???

I remember in bits and pieces. ACP Pradyuman is asked to form a team of investigators and I think he handpicks Insp Viren. His superiors tell him that Viren has a history of transfers and may not be a good choice. Viren himself had issues about working with the ACP (I can't remember the details).

During the case it appears that the ACP's son is involved and Viren thinks that Pradyuman may use his influence to save his son. But the ACP turns out to be a strict and honest officer who does not spare even his own family when it comes to justice. Near the end they ambush the criminals in a room. It was very dark and the culprit was running away. It looked like the ACP's son. He asked him to stop or he will shoot. But he kept running and the ACP fired. Fortunately it turned out that the culprit was not his son but someone else.

Viren was in awe of the ACP after he watched him shoot the culprit even though he thought it was his own son. From then on he was happy to work with Pradyuman.

That is what I was thinking too. Some 2009 CID Episodes start with "11 Years of Glory" Logo and later during the year changed to "12 Years of Glory" Logo, so it can't start in Jan 1997, it had to be sometime later during the year. I don't think I had cable TV then when it started, I think I started watching CID since early 1998. I wish Sony showed the older episodes but they have jumped to the latest ones in the re-runs. Wonder if I will ever get to see the first episode.
