Rules and regulations. Well this is a kind of a version of rules that aims to give members a general idea about the rules. However if you think you want to read the full version then here is the link to the IF's Code of Conduct of IF . It is recommended that you atleast read the following rules carefully. -
Posting a topic. - It should be relevant to the section
- Check that a similar topic is not posted before
- If you are posting articles from other site, then please bear in mind the copy rights. There are some sites which are directly in competition to IF. Articles from these sites are not allowed on IF. However articles from official channel sites and sites which are not in direct competition with IF are allowed. Please if you do post articles from any such site then make sure you give the link to it as well. If in doubt please contact a Dev team member before posting the article.
- Please do not post links to other sites. This is advertising and you will be warned for it.
- Please try to use meaningful titles which are related to the post you are making. Bad examples of titles are "baddsg" or any such titles. Good examples are the ones which summarizes the purpose of your title in few words.
- Do not post the same (or similar) topic more than once. Or alternatively do not post your reply to a topic more than once or with excessive number of emotions. This is considered spamming and you will be warned.
- Language used
- In a way this has some overlap with the previous one but still I am trying to separate it.
- You should post in a manner that is respectable to others. Flaming or abusing users will not be tolerated. This includes respecting everyone's point of view, opinions, suggestions and ideas. Avoid using offensive or foul language when posting a message. Please maintain a friendly atmosphere and don't create fights or conflicts.
- If you are posting to criticize a character's role,(for example what Bhimdev did to Prithvi was ''. Or any thing similar) then make sure you are posting a character and do not post abusive comments about the actor.
- Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". That is users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, or very large (or small) text.
- Similarly users should not use CAPS as they are considered shouting in internet language or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts. Both of these are considered as spamming and appropriate actions will be taken.
- Thank you button ' Please Use it whenever some one posts a useful topic like updating the serial or posting pictures. Please do not post replies saying "tfs" or "Thanks a lot" as these will also be considered spamming.
- Before you post comments in to any topic that is made sticky or announcement PLEASE CHECK THE TITLE and do not post comments if the title clearly says NO COMMENTS. You will receive a warning and your warning level can also be raise.
- Updates
- Do not post topics asking for update either video or written or picture updates
- Please have patience as writing an update, uploading a video or taking and posting pictures takes time.
- If you are not sure on who will be updating on a particular day then either look into the updated schedule (this will soon be available) or pm any Dev team member of the section
- Again use the Thank you button is you wish to thank the member for posting update.
- If you want to have past updates then look into the archive section first (give link). If you cannot find any particular update (written or video) in the archive section then pm any dev team member and we will try to sort it out. However if you find that a video link is not working then the best person to contact is the person who posted the link (not in archive section but in the topic where the link in archive section takes you).
- PMs
- If you have a query or a request and you pm any member, then please try to be polite and don't use harsh words or words which is indecent or insulting the receiver.
- In addition please pm only once (especially if u r pming a Dev team member with any requests), do not pm more than once and in the second pm saying "I m waiting" or any similar thing. You can however inquire but before doing so please allow some time as there are some times when a member has to discuss that issue with other members or needs time to reply due to some reason
Please make sure you understand all the rules. Please do not take this lightly as if the rules are broken then : - You will be sent warning pms (in most cases more than 1 pm)by the Dev team, this is the first step to the penalty process.
- If you choose to ignore the pms sent to you and not comply to the rules, then your warning level will be raised to 20% (if it was not already 20% otherwise higher and 2nd raise will mean your warning level is at 40%).
- This warning will be with you even if you change your username
- It can be taken off if you clearly show that you have improved and follow the code of conduct of IF thoroughly for a reasonable time, if then a Dev team member (viewbies or moderators) feels you have improved then they can decrease your warning level. However this requires solid proof of improvement on your behalf.
- 5 such warnings (warning meter at 100%) will mean that you WILL BE BANNED FROM THE SITE. Thus it is serious.
- There is one more thing; in some particular cases direct rise in warning level is possible. For example, typing "Tfs" or "Thanks" or replying with only emotions or typing in caps is against the code of conduct. If the Dev team found any member continuously not following these rules then THEIR WARNING LEVEL WILL BE RAISED straightaway. So please take care that you read the rules very carefully and understand them.

Whom should I contact if I do not understand any particular thing in this topic? If you do not understand any thing in this topic then feel free to drop a pm to one of the Dev Team member of PRC section. They are PRC section's Moderators Lashy, megha parti PRC Section's Viewbie - or members like rumela711926, anasrashid_fan,pen_786
There are few non ' Ladder groups: Coolbie: These are the Members who regularly write Updates. Videobies: These are the members who regularly provide reliable videos Viewbie: These are the Members who assist the Section Moderators, help in promoting healthy discussions, sense and prevent collisions. Viewbies are Moderators on probation. Moderators: These Members have certain Sections allocated to them; they take care of the day to day activity of their Sections. Channel Moderators: These Members have rights to moderate all the sections in a particular channel (of which they are channel moderators of) Global Moderators and Admins: These Members have rights to to moderate all sections. The Admins take care of the technical as well as back-end jobs, maintain a smooth functioning of the Forum. Super Moderators: These members are the Global Moderators of the General Discussion sections.
How Do I join the non ' ladder groups: This question is answered in detail in the FAQ link I gave above but is brief. Full guidelines are giving in this topic please read it. The following is the main criteria: - You must always be polite to your co - members.
- You must practice the Gandhian principle that if someone slaps you on one cheek, you offer the other. Therefore, if someone is offensive, you must be polite and courteous. Everything can be solved with patience and maturity.
- Your conduct must be exemplary and outstanding.
- You cannot have any warnings against yourself. If you have been warned even once, then you become automatically disqualified from being part of the Development Team.
- You must be available. You can't join the Dev Team and go on a 5-year vacation.
- You must NOT be a spammer!! Having 50,000 posts doesn't guarantee you to become a Dev Team Member ... neither does having a 100 posts make you a great candidate.
- We are looking for maturity and the ability to handle responsibility.
- We are looking for creativity - someone who can take on a section and make it active with contests, interesting topics, etc.
- You HAVE to follow the COC at all times!!!
Some other things to remember while applying for Dev Team Positions: - If you want to be part of the Team, please PM the Moderator or Channel Moderator of that specific section. Please do NOT PM the GM's or Admins unless that section is missing a Channel Moderator. You can see who the Viewbies/Mods are for all the sections .
- If you want to become part of the team then YOU need to PM us, not your friend. Please don't get anyone to refer you. You need to PM us yourself and let us know which section you would like and what you will be bringing to the Team.
- Once again, make sure that you do NOT have a warning against you before applying!!
- You MUST be an active member of the section you're applying to. For example: If you want to be a Viewbie in Member's Lounge, you must be a regular visitor & poster of that section. If you have a history of posting interesting topics and making meaningful posts, you will definitely be considered for the position. On the other hand, if you have a history of making irrelevant or useless posts, then that will work against you.
Other Helpful Information: What can you get a warning for? - Posting external links, pictures/videos/articles from external forums (that contain external links).
- Advertising - other sites, forums, etc.
- Bashing other members, Dev Team Members, Celebrities.
- Using inappropriate language. There is ZERO tolerance for profanity.
- Posting inappropriate pictures, videos, articles.
- Posting one-liners is Spamming. Examples: "Thank you", "Thanks for posting", "tfs", "hey sup?", etc. One PM warning will be given. If you fail to listen, then Warning Level will be increased.
- Repeatedly posting "Where is today's update/video?" topics.
- Instigating members, making topics a war ground.
- Arguing and fighting instead of healthy discussions.
What can I do to be considered for the position? -
Getting permission from Mods for creating Discussion/Topic/Contest of the week. -
Providing insightful comments and arguments in discussion topics. Paying more attention on discussing rather than fighting/arguing. -
Trying to stop fights/meaningless arguments between members. -
Reporting posts that need to be closed/trashed to section Mods or CM's. Want to become a Coolbie/Videobie? -
If you update a show that comes more than 2 times a week, then you must be a regular updater for at least one month. If you have been writing updates for a month or more, please PM the Mod/Viewbie of that section and speak with them about your chances of becoming a Coolbie. -
Same rule applies for Video updates. For shows that come more than twice a week, they must be updated consistently for at least a month for us to even consider you. -
DO NOT post updates/videos without the consent of the Channel Mods/Mods/Viewbies. If the section already has an updater, we will not need another one unless the other one is not consistent. -
If you are providing written updates or Video updates for shows that come only 1-2 times a week, then you need to provide updates consistently for at least TWO months. -
Consistency - This is the key to becoming a Coolbie/Videobie. You MUST be a regular updater. If you can only provide updates for certain days in the week, that's fine - as long as you are consistently providing it on those days. -
Language - Please try to keep the updates neat and clean - i.e. without too many personal comments. Also, try to put them in simple English, rather than slang or SMS language. -
If you are updating Videos, please ensure that the video does NOT contain any link to external sites/forums. This is considered advertising and you will end up getting a Warning Level increase for that. -
Similarly, please write your own written updates. Do NOT copy them from other forums/sites. If you take them from sites like ZeeTV.com, SetIndia.com, etc then please give credit. Want to be a Viewbie? -
Do you consistently post interesting topics? -
Do you regularly report instigating/inappropriate posts to Mods/Viewbies? -
Do you have ideas to make a section more active/popular? If the answer to above questions was yes, then speak to your Channel Moderator/Moderator/Viewbie and let them know you're interested. ***VERY IMPORTANT POINT*** All of the above are just GUIDELINES. They are ways you can be a potential candidate. They do NOT guarantee that you will become a Coolbie/Videobie/Viewbie. Therefore, if you think you have the capability, then please PM the Channel Moderator/Moderator of the section you are interested in. If the section is missing a CM or Mod, then you can PM a GM. ** Click to see who the CM's/Mods and Viewbies for all sections are ** Good Luck!!šš¼
