Too true ashita! Though I don't and can't watch remix now that line you quote is just so ashi! She can rant, she can kick, she can yell and scream, dominate, hurt, kick up a huge storm, is loud and sometimes inconsiderate, impulsive and sometimes downright mean to people.
Yet under all that facade is just a lost soul with a golden heart. She cares. A lot. For everyone. And will do anything for them.
You wrote it so perfectly harshu.....its like u did a perfect analysis of her character...yes she may have a lot of bad things in her....but u approach her for a good cause n she will be the first person to support u.....infact without thinking abt the consequences she will take the lead in fighting for u n ur cause š
And one of the things I can relate the most about ashi is that she finds it so tough to express her love, especially to her mom. When Sonia hugs her, she makes faces because she's embarrassed and she doesn't want her mother to know how she enjoys her hugs. She projects such a facade of toughness.
Well yeah somehow she could never tell Sonia how much she loved her...Sonia was always the more expressive one.....but in this one scene she let it all out......after all her MOM WAS LEAVING HER....n wen she spoke she spoke with all her heart...she accepted all her flaws that too in front of so many ppl.....she expressed her gratitude to her mom for letting her be...letting her make her mistakes....but still always being there for her š³
But it is her golden heart and the expression of it (when it does, that is) is ultimately her biggest strength. Not her tough-girl characterization.
At some level, she also sees herself as failing her mom as she thinks she is not as beautiful as her mother is. And that no one will ever love her and esp her mother won't because she is a "freak".
So all of those insecurities come out in the form of lashing against her mother.
Sonia is easier to read. Ashi is the apple of her eyes and the sunshine of her life. She too feels that she has failed her daughter in some way looking at how her daughter always hits out at her and is always sarcastic to her. And that Ashi doesn't have a dad. I think she feels guilty for that and hence her over-attention. It is somewhat true as Ashi always has wanted a dad in her life yet I think given the chance, she would have supported Sonia ultimately.
For Sonia Ashi is everything.....no one can take Ashi's place in her heart...she will always be top priority for her....she wouldnt be able to live if something happens to her...hence she was always over attentive towards her....she would visit her every few days unlike the other parents......her life revolved arnd her...but Sonia didnt realise that she is a super star n the attention that she got while she visited the school was one of hte main reasons for the rift betwn her n her daughter......hence Ashi was irritated by her over attentiveness....but slowy I think after Yuvi entered her life....her attitude towards her mom changed....she was no longer insecure abt her...coz she had someone who loved her too....n that made a whole lot of difference according to me
Okay, I think I must stop because I have deviated from the topic and I myself dunno what I am typing and the original topic.
