This video is old. But I do miss the old Folklore album era Nelly before she completely changed her identity as an artist. Nelly has talked about in an interview I remember reading a long time ago about singing at Indian weddings as a teenager and her fondness for Bollywood film music. As far as putting to shame goes, the accent really is kind of grating, but I "appreciate" the effort.

Its been said that she is singing a song which was sung by singer Mukesh for BIG B in kabhi kabhie over 30 years ago and she sings so perfectly !! She is great !!

I loved nelly when she was a new artist. After a while she changed and I didn't like the change. I used to love the old Nelly where she was her own unique self and doing her own thing. Now she wants to be like the rest of the other singers and I don't like her now.

The female version of this song was originally sung by Lata ji and there is NO artist out there who can put that woman to shame. She is over 80 and can still sing for 16 year olds!!! I think it is Lata Ji who can put the whole worlds artists to shame!

TOTALLY agree with you...I dont think I've ever felt respect and awe for someone else besides Lata Mangeshkar👏👏👏
