Of course, if Via has decided that she doesn't have time for this show, then it makes sense that they change the gf, instead of the actress, as they had to do w/ CM. From the storyline pov, that would be a relief for Deepu - instead of going after a girl whose father would make his life miserable, it's better that he start from scratch, and that too w/ a compatible family. Although I admit I would have liked to see how Panchi adjusted w/ the Sharmas as a sasural - whether they'd be nice to her, since they've already seen how it feels like to see Jyoti ill-treated, or whether they'll just be hypocrites and have one set of expectations for their daugters, and another for their daughters-in-law.

In that case, I have an idea/suggestion then for him, which he can feed back to the creatives - have him discover and hook up w/ a good looking female, who happens to be a cousin/step-sister of Brij, but hostile to him nonetheless. Let her be good, and let there be another argument within the family (sans Jyoti & Sudha) on whether she should be let in or not. Put Padma in favor of this match, Sushma on the bench, and have KK and Dadi oppose it, b'cos she is after all Brij's sibling. Then let the sparks fly.
