Shilpa Shetty has finally set her wedding date. She and Raj Kundra will announce the D-Date
(November 22) on Bigg Boss 3 tomorrow night. Subsequently, her sister Shamita will leave the show.
Says a source close to the actress reveals, "Shilpa wants Shamita to be present during all the wedding preparations, not just on the big day. So she is going on the show, where she will announce the date, and then get Shamita to come back with her to Mumbai."



Tomorrow night, on November 6, Shamita will be informed about her sister's wedding date and she will be given the option to walk out of the show. Says an insider, "The channel is planning everything on a very big scale. The reaction of the BB3 housemates, after hearing about the wedding, will also be shown."

The wedding trivia

Venue: The shaadi will take place in her close friend Kiran Bawa's (her partner in the spa) farmhouse at Khandala. The couple wanted to have the wedding in Mumbai but as the date was fixed late, they couldn't get any five-star hotel, as they are all booked for the wedding season. The mehendi and sangeet (Nov 21) will happen in Khandala too. There will be a Punjabi (the groom's side is Punjabi) as well as a Bunt style (Shilpa's community) rituals.

Guest list: It will be an exclusive and intimate affair consisting of a 150 select guests.

The grand reception: There will be a reception (Nov 24) in a Mumbai 5-star hotel. This will have over 500 guests. Apart from Shilpa and Raj's families there will be Shilpa's father's businessmen guests, Raj's business friends and her B-Town friends. Raj might have a reception in London later.

Shaadi ka joda: The trousseau is being designed by Tarun Tahiliani. And for the wedding, she will wear a burgundy red brocade saree with Swarovski crystals designed by TT.

why does she want to get married now when her sis is making her future....she has waited for so long can't she wait a li'l longer till she comes out? Very unfair and selfish.

Shilpa's marriage date is finalised- 22nd Nov 2009

Well it's finally confirmed. Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra will tie the knot this November. The wedding which is scheduled for the 22nd of this month will surprisingly be devoid of the usual Bollywood friends and glitter. This comes as Shilpa and Raj arrived at a joint decision to keep the affair short and sweet.

However, two days after the actual wedding reception, Shilpa will be hosting another party for her colleagues from the industry, while the marriage itself is to be conducted at her business partner Kiran Bawa's farmhouse in Khandala. The venue of her wedding reception however, is still being kept under wraps.

Shilpa's sister who missed the engagement ceremony while being locked away in the Bigg Boss house apparently might also miss the wedding as the show isn't scheduled to end till the date. The only option left is that she be evicted from the Bigg Boss house in time to make it for her sister's wedding.
