1) Geeti's trial outcome. This was a disappointment. Here was a perfect opportunity to showcase the cleverness, determination, and tenacity of a mother and father, but instead it ended with an act of mercy from Jassi's dad. Realistically, even after seeing the tape, it is unlikely that a man like him would do that. And what are we, the viewers, supposed to take away from this? That we should simply hope for mercy when faced with our enemies? I don't like it when stories drag unnecessarily, but I would have preferred this track to be stretched out a little bit more if it meant that there would be a more fulfilling ending. There was obvious evidence that Geeti had been assaulted. She had marks on her body indicative of a struggle. She was drugged. Even if she did kill Jassi, wouldn't it be an obvious act of self defense? Several of her friends knew what a dirtbag Jassi was. There were a lot of witnesses who saw him grabbing her arm and physically dominating her at school. It should have been a fairly straightforward case.
2) Pooja and Kamini's track. Again, I would have preferred this to be sorted by Pooja and perhaps the other LS mainstays rather than introducing this angel of mercy at the last minute. I'm not sure if they even mentioned how she knew about Karan-Pooja's troubles? I assume Pooja's mom told her. But even so, how did she know Karan would take an interest in her? Don't get me wrong, I like Kamini's character, but I found her introduction a little sloppy and again, unsatisfying. What would Pooja have done without her? Is the implication that she would have been helpless? Overall, the Karan-Pooja track is just getting sloppier and sloppier. There are so many ways in which Pooja can come down on Karan, legally speaking. As Koolsadhu mentioned in the other post, her entire office is a witness to his blackmailing and taunting! Not to mention Kamini can testify that he is a philanderer. Why stretch this out unecessarily? While Geeti's track was cut short, this one is growing too long.
