i agree, it shud nt b named ravana! keep it something else , the story hs nothing to do wit ramayan..

and ya mani sir is one of my fav director so i trust him :)

Mani ratnam rocks.. and he gets the best out of Abhishek bachchan.. I agree qww and Amu he should change the name to avoid comparisons.. Lets see what happens when the movie comes out..

I completely agree with u Amu and Exactly Suku, hes a greatt director and thats y I said that I want him to keep things honest and real and not go for publicity with all this. He should clarify in an interview that its not and everything will end there. Its always better to have things sorted rather than get them in a hassle later. I dont mind the name AT ALL but just all these stories get very irritating.

Hopefully, he clears it soon bcoz I remember reading its not the epic Ramayan. If he can just make a clear statement once now.

Guys, the story is INSPIRED from Ramayan, but Mani trying to show Sita as a strong woman. big difference. Also the charcters have different names, not positive, but think so! I'm sure it's not gonna offend ppl, Mani Ratnam is a good story-teller! Hopfeully it'll be interesting!
