WOW.. Thats sweet. Although I am not American or a Obama supporter.. I was a Hillary supporter.. hehe.. But that is great news! Omg.. I miss Diwali in India.. I wanna go to India....

I like how he is open to other cultures. I liked his speech as well and hopefully with time he comes to prove himself worthy of being appointed the president.

^I agree. The Nobel prize thing is ridiculous.

Agreed I don't think he deserves it at least at this age. But there is one very VERY weak explanation. Because of him, two different groups of people who have always been at opposite ends in America are finally both making the same decisions... It's just that he is an African American running a "white" country allowing people from all aspects of life (immigrants, whites, african americans) all connect...

I know that explanation is SO weak but its the only one I can think of...

I still get annoyed though when people blame him for it... its like he won it- he didn't ask for it...

^More than that Obama has tried to make peace with Iran, Russia and the Muslim world who the previous government had alienated. He has given respect to small countries and has treated them equally. He has seen the Israel Palestine issue from both sides- he has not taken a side while all previous Presidents were very pro-Israel. Even then he hasn't really achieved anything...but he has taken the steps towards it. The Nobel is still a bit shocking...because it's so early....should have waited some mroe time but such prizes have been given to give boost to certain causes...this is one such prize.
