Well, i don't think that's true. he does have guts to stand up to his father, but he respect his father and does not want disrespect his father for his love. He wants to meet other girls just for his father wish, he really doesn't want to do it by his heart. So that shows that he is loyal to his father and priyanka. He said he likes priyanka as much as he did before but he also want to respect his father wish. So even if he meets other girls it will be for his father wish not his own wish.
