In tonight's episode, one of the things Padma asks Jyoti is why is she still obsessed w/ Sushma getting Brij (obviously, she's the only one stupid enough to believe that - I doubt that even Sushma believed it), and then asks whether Sushma ever asked why Jyoti married a blind person.

What short memories!!! The other day, when Sushma went to sishu-mangal the morning after pimping herself to throw that cash back in Jyoti's face, one of the things she kept telling Padma was how she married for love, while Jyoti married a blind person for his millions. This too, right in front of Jyoti. It's none of Sushma's business who Jyoti married and why, since she successfully stole Brij from her (if she only knew about Brij's first conversation w/ Jyoti), but she butted in anyway, echoing what the rumor-mongers @ PJ's wedding had to say about Jyoti. What's more, Padma knows that the accusation is false, since the morning that PJ visited them to check on Sudha (the night when Devika was supposed to meet Jyoti, but Jyoti rushed home hearing about Sudha going nuts), they asked him about how he and Jyoti got together, and one of the things he mentioned was that when Jyoti found out that he was a millionaire, she was very reluctant to marry him because of the differences in their social strata. So not only did Padma lie about Sushma not casting aspersions on Jyoti - she knew that the aspersions Sushma cast were lies themselves, but didn't bother to correct her.

I'm getting sick of Jyoti calling her Ma. Also, she agreed to butt out of Sushma's family life, but at the same time, vowed to get her out of trouble. HTF does she plan to do that? Getting Sushma out of Brij's hands means interfering, which she has agreed not to do. So she should have instead stuck to that, and in return demanded that Padma stop having anything to do w/ Sudha, who after all, too, is her step daughter.

Aside from her aspersions on Jyoti for still having desires for Brij, or her lie that Sushma didn't question why Jyoti married who she did, the rest of Padma's pleas - which KK agreed w/ - were correct. I do hope that Jyoti gets that into her, and that in future, if Deepu finds out anything, he shares it w/ Padma, and nobody else. Jyoti doesn't deserve anymore such grief. At any rate, this week, she'll have to go to help Sudha, and this time, hopefully, she can take the help of Pankaj and Uday and do this w/o involving Deepu, Padma, Dadi or KK.

From the 09/09/09 conversation b/w Padma and KK, one thing is clear about Padma - daughters are a burden. So when it's a daughter like Jyoti who's earning money, then she isn't and her marriage is worth sabotaging w/ fake astrological charts and what not. When it's Sushma, she's willing to keep her, but once it's exposed that she's abused, she's not willing to take her back, and is only too happy to send her back to her abusive husband. And now w/ Sudha, since it's a step daughter who's earning nothing, it's time to marry her off, and not have her study more, since that would only make marriage more difficult.

Wonder whether that's what Padma's parents did to her. But I hate everyone who made her marry KK.

My, my!!! For someone who continually bitches about Jyoti behaving like a step-daughter/sister (to Sushma), Padma didn't waste any time displaying that herself, did she?

Earlier, when Jyoti expressed doubts about Sudha being guilty of the discotheque assault, Padma smarmyly asked her whether that would have been her reaction had Sushma been guilty of it. Yet the other day, at the car park, while pulling Sushma aside, she just jerked her and gave her a lecture, nothing more.

Yet today, when Uday produced the irrefutable proof of Sudha as Devika, Padma was the one to open the assault on Sudha. So that begs the similar question - what would have been her response had it been Sushma instead? We know the answer to that, given the way she pampered Sushma after her cheating w/ Brij and later doing those cheap dances. And this wasn't in the same vein as the others - after all, previously, while KK and Dadi celebrated first Sudha's graduation and then her job, Padma was the sourpuss who kept trying to pee on the parade. But now when Sudha has been 'exposed', she's the first one to slap her.

I do hope that once Sudha recovers and (probably) forgives everybody for doubting her, except this inveterate vaginal hag. It's high time Sudha completely expels Padma from her life, and does what she can for herself.

I hope so too, except that Sudha isn't the one likely to do that. Maybe, if they take Sudha back, Padma misbehaves as usual w/ Jyoti and Sudha turns into Devika and ravages them - that will be ideal. They can then decide if Sudha is acting, or has a real condition.
