Shahid Kapoor went missing from the Bollywood radar for four full days. No one could reach him.


Of course, Shahid wasn't playing hookey. He and dad Pankaj Kapur went for their annual pilgrimage. "It's something that Shahid holds very private and refuses to discuss," says one of the actor's friends. Shahid, of course, loved the break from the madding crowds because once he descended in Mumbai, he had to attend three promotional events for Dil Bole Hadippa!, shoot all night for Aditya Chopra's untitled venture with Anushka Sharma and then pack his bags to leave for a 40-day schedule of the same film. The actor was therefore very happy that he had stolen a few moments of complete solitude before being sucked into the mayhem and madness that is a part of a celebrity's daily routine.
