Kunal Deshmukh spotted spending a lot of time with Ms Ranaut
Director Kunal Deshmukh seems to have caught actress Kangna Ranaut's fancy, of late. Since both belong to the Mahesh Bhatt camp, they have known each other for quite some time. But the actress has become fond of the director, only lately. The duo has been spotted spending time together.
It is learnt that during her recent holiday in Italy, Kangna picked up a lot of stuff for Kunal. Says a source, "He had asked her to get CDs. She also got some touristy things for him. And despite swollen lips, went to meet him over coffee in Bandra to give him the gifts."
After Kangs' split with Adhyayan Suman earlier this year, she has preferred to immerse herself in work. Though B-Town buzz was that her ex-flame Aditya Panscholi wanted her back in his life, she kept her distance.
Kunal directed Emraan Hashmi-Sonal Chauhan starrer Jannat. Next up is the Emraan-Soha Ali Khan film Tum Mile. He had also assisted in the making of films like Woh Lamhe and Kalyug.
It is learnt that Kangna was the first choice to feature in Kunal's film Jannat. "As she was busy with her other commitments, Sonal Chauhan did the role," reveals our source.
Says the actress' spokesperson, "Kangna and KD have known each other for a long time as they worked together on some films. Just because she's single, there's speculation about anyone she's seen with. There's absolutely no truth to this rumour. She's got seven movies active at present – some due for release, others beginning and some she's shooting for… that's all she's focussing on."
Kunal maintains," She is a friend and we both stay in the same area at Bandra. There is nothing else. In fact, I was more friendly to her during the making of Woh Lamhe when I was an AD. Now she is busy with her shoots and I am busy with my film Tum Mile, so we barely meet."
