Ekta Kapoor recreated Goa in her Juhu bungalow yesterday and celebrated her birthday with friends, albeit three months late. Her birthday was on June 7, but brother Tusshar Kapoor's absence and Ganpati celebrations at home delayed the party. "I wanted people to come and chill at my party. Basically, just hang out, drink and dance, which explains the beach party theme.
I wanted guests to wear only beach wear as it's relaxing. My art director designed my home like a Goan shack. I arranged for some colourful sun umbrellas, beach beds and beach chairs too," said Ekta. However, the sand and sea were missing. She laughs, "Sorry I couldn't provide that. People had to visualise it." The food was not typically Goan, although there was plenty of sea food on the menu. And instead of feni, there were tequila shots, mojitos and margaritas. "For dessert, I had Goa's favourite Bibinca!" said Ekta. Ekta wore a black vest teamed with black trousers.
