Hassan and Cupcake4GHT, I hope you won't mind me saying this ... nobody over here dislikes Hiten or his acting (I think he's doing a good job, as always). Sometimes when there's a third person in between a fictional couple, the fans get frustrated. Plus, Karan Singh isn't
meant to be rooted for. That's not the purpose of his character - he's supposed to be the source of conflict between Arjun-Arohi and that's exactly what he's doing.
For instance, take Arjun Rampal's character Mukesh in Om Shanti Om. The viewers weren't supposed to liked him, because he tormented Om and Shantipriya. While Arjun's acting was exceptional as the bad guy, it doesn't mean what Mukesh did was rootable. It also doesn't mean that the issue is about Arjun, SRK or Deepika. It's about their characters.
There's a difference between actors and characters ... and between protagonists and antagonists. Hiten was the lead in Kutumb/Kyunki and people were supposed to like him, which they did. He was the hero, the good guy and the one who deserved to get the girl. In KMH though, his character is supposed to be the third wheel. So you can't expect the same reaction for Karan Singh as you did for Pratham Mittal or Karan Virani, right?
Karan Singh might have turned positive but the fact remains that he's being portrayed as the third wheel, whether he does it intentionally or unintentionally. That's why the KMH viewers are inclined to fancy the lead characters more than him.
Again, that's just my opinion and I'm not trying to belittle any fanbase or actor. š³
