Discrimination against Muslims? Never, say Shah Rukh, Salman

Bollywood gave a thumbs-down to Emraan Hashmi for raising the religion card on not getting a flat in a posh locality of Mumbai. When Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan who belong to minority community are asked if they ever faced discrimination for being a Muslim, both denied having come across any such situation. The King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, said, "This has never happened with me." Salman Khan who has the bad boy image in B-town echoes the same sentiments saying, "Emraan Hashmi won't be Emraan Hashmi and Salman won't be Salman if it's true."

Emraan Hashmi has alleged that the Pali Hill's Nibbana Cooperative Society refused to give him a no-objection certificate (NOC) even after he had paid the token amount of Rs 1 lakh. The actor believing that he is discriminated for being a Muslim filed a complaint with the State Minorities' Commission, demanding action against society members.

Meanwhile, the Pali Hill's Nibbana Cooperative Society rebuffed Emraan's accusations as false saying, 'Emraan is a liar.' Society Secretary Capt J P Chhetry said, that the actor with his baseless allegations and raking up the minority card had inflicted lot of damage on the society.

"We will not take this lying down," he said adding that the society is taking legal opinion.

Read what every one has to say about this !! Everyone in Mumbai called him a liar that includes the muslim actors and muslim heads of the mumbai communities !! That he is trying to break up the trust and unity in all the communities that live in mumbai in harmony and love !! Just to make this issue a massive he has not done a right thing !! If he cannot get an apartment which many people in mumbai sometimes cannot get due to various reasons and not religion based then he is exagarating the whole affair !! All the other muslim actors who are in majority in Bollywood denies this !! Actors like SRK and Salman !! They say this has never happenned to them !! Others millions are living in Pali Hill Area !! So whats the big deal !! Hashmi Mamu Mahesh Butt ko bolo Ghar Ledey he is not a muslim !! and stop stirring up between the Muslims and other community on the basis of religion !! In india everyone is living in peace and harmony !! 😔

I think this is so stupid discminating srk/salman are lucky that they have had it ok..alot of other actors have said before about this.

Despite it's advancements... some people in India don't seem hugely tolerent even still...or else there wouldn't be rioting would there.

SRK and Salman are just Lucky because it does occur...just not to "Stars" or cricketers. I'm not muslim but this is how I see it.

I think it works both ways. In this case tho, going by the reports it seems like Emraan tried to use the minority card to muscle his way into a house. Unfortunately for him it back fired. I guess having an ex-army person for Society Secretary helps in such matters - they don't take any crap.
Was any investigation done as to how many people were denied a flat in that building? What their relegion was etc? How did he claim with such confidence that he was discriminated only because of his religion?
If he genuinely believes so then he should have done his home work and had the facts in his hand so nobody could have questioned him and made him look like a rabble rouser that he is now painted as.

Well Srk in one of his interviews said tht that is why i bought a house. It was indirect but clear also. Emran is not stupid to bring such issues up , he mustve felt it thats why hes voicing his opinion.

Discrimination is everywhere but of course in india, it's less discrimination. In the US, it's more of that. I remember srk saying he faced this problem before.

why would SRK and Salman face a problem now...??? they are both influential people... and why would emraan lie...? most likely there were other issues as well... the society people are not going to be foolish and reject an application JUST because of someone's religion, though that could have been a possible reason...
