What was Radhika's fault?

It was not her fault that Dev wrongly understood her name 'Vishakha', It was not her fault that proposal came for Vishaka.It was not her fault that Vishakha had been run away from her wedding and certainly it was not her fault that Dev fell in love at first sight.

She was happy for her sister, she loved Dev but didn't want to marry him.

She is in deep sorrow and pain since her marriage, before her marriage she was quite happy and satisfied with her life and family , Amma often scolded her but she never decided to leave her house. She never lied for herself.

now after marriage she got the title 'characterless' from Dev's house, many times shes been treated as a substitute from traditional 'bangal trial' to 'abhishek sanskar' and now she is homeless.

she is the only person enduring mental as well as physical hardships.

we know that Dev is in sorrow, he is restless for his love and Radhika, it gives an impression of self centeredness on the other hand Radhika is worried about every one in her surrounding, remember how Radhika stopped Vishakha to disclose the truth about Keshav , when they all were commuting in a car.she knew that dev may suspend Keshav from the Job and remember the day when Dev showed anklet of Radhika to his mom , his mom asked him that ' you don't have any regard to your father's name and his dignity ' he said 'NO'.

there are many live example where people have been forgotten their true love and now spending a happy married life but I haven't seen any example that a woman been forgotten her husband, to whom she loves immensely and spending her life happily.

Radhika deserves sympathy and Its hard to live for others.

It was partly Radhika's and partly Dev's fault that Dev wrongly understood her name as 'Vishakha'.

"She hid behind Vishaka" And "He didn't confirm".

In their first few interactions she also fell in love with Dev. It was totally her faults that even after realizing that Dev meant to marry her, she didn't clear up the matter.

It's nobody's fault when two human beings fall in love at first sight. It is the destiny. When Dev fell in love at first sight it was neither his nor Radhika's fault.

Both are suffering now.

In one of my earlier posts I was asking their first meeting was the best moment of their life or worst? If they don't unite than it definitely is worst. But then they say that falling in love itself is a boon and even the pain from the love is lovable.

But, from there she noticed both Dev and Vishaka how keen each of them are in keeping their marriage. She knew Vish is not made for Dev (and also that Vish is not married to Dev) as well as Dev is unable to forget her (especially after knowing the truth that she is his DG). Inspite of all these facts in hand she is pushing Dev towards Vishaka in the name of honoring his love for her (remember the dialogue she always uses to manipulate Dev's decisions - Agar aap mujhe chaahte hai to....), I think she don't have any right to influence Dev when she had given upon him. In a way she is doing the same thing to Dev which she had been facing from Devki. That's where we all are frustrated/upset/angry with Radhika.

Because she is an adopted daughter and always treated like a servent by the Shastri family (with the exception of Shastriji), Radhika (since her childhood) lived life for others( I take it as - living for others became a habit for her) and have never learnt to stand up for herself (she thinks she don't deserve any happiness for hereslf because of her status and that is the reason why she keeps denying Dev's love). On the contrary, Dev being the youngest and most pampered at home never had to think of any family obligations or responsibilites. So, it's quite natural for him to say 'No' to sacrifice his love (which is his life for him) for anybody. But, later, after his father's death, he realized that he need to live his life for his family too..

One can sacrifice only so much and sacrificing for the undeserving is not called as 'sacrifice' it is called as 'obstinacy'. Radhika not only doing that to herself but, she is doing it to Dev too. Wasting both their lives and happiness for the most undeserving people (even if those people are their own family members).

yes I agree that she knew about the disparity between Dev and Vishakha but she wanted to patch up as a well wisher.
She had been robbed on the same day when she left behind and Vishakha had been gone along with Dev as Dev's bride.Now at this point what else she can do? Just patching and mending only remains at this point.
Radhika been trapped in to the web of sins which has not been created by Radhika.
Radhika knows that no one will marry Vishakha If Dev leaves Vishakha.

Few people possesses that courage to evacuate others without caring their life.she wants to evacuate Vishaka, any how , and its not a sacrifice but simply she is worried about her.Its true that Vishakha comes first than Dev in her priory list and its not her fault she is having such an affection and caring for Vishakha after all she has spent around 20 yrs of her life with Vishakha.

she is having two options
1. blurt out the truth
2. remain in the mute mode.

1st option will bring disgrace to her family and she will be treated as a selfish person.

2nd option is quite disheartening but it will bring equilibrium.

I'm not a story writer but what does matter is the perspective . Its my perspective 😊


Now discussing 2nd point

She wants to adhere to her commitment but how to convince Dev? Its quite hard to tackle Dev and his innocent love.I would like to give an example over here, suppose someone following you and you don't want him to follow then you simply ask him stop following , that means in one way or other you are trying to manipulate his decision, though you don not have any right over his decision.Radhika case is quite similar to this one.

As a typical Indian girl she is hoping that one day everything will be fine and Dev will except Vishakha

and they'll lead a happy married life and she(Radhika) doesn't give a damn about her life.

Regarding my 1st point:

No matter what, she has no right to tell two individuals on how to lead their life (even if it is out of her love and 20 years of bonding with Vishaka).

Regarding my 2nd point:

To make some one stop following you, you don't have to make them oblige you in the name of love.

It is upto Dev, on how he would like to live his life and it is upto Vishaka on how to make her marriage work not Radhika's.

Regarding my 3rd point:

She can hope for it but not make Dev to sacrifice his happiness for it (Dev may be better off living without either of the sisters) but no, Radhika will not let him get atleast that peace of mind in his life.😡

My simple point is, Radhika getting punishment for the deed which she has never done.

she loves Dev and if she'll get a legal chance to love him as his wife, she'll repay by love for every single moment of Dev's agony.

and It may happen that without knowing past history, Shastri-g will marry his second daughter(Radhika) to Dev (in compensation, as Vishakha has developed running habit.)
