Excellent topic Moviessharma and great debate, to go against the forum and stick to your arguments....

Contratry to your assertion, Dev has mentioned to his mom as someone mentioned that Vish is not the girl he wanted to marry, in the backyard rain sequence...
He was on the verge of revealing all multi number of times,
1. just before Dadi's heart attack... I am sure he would have said it in spite of it, if Rads hadn't told him she is getting married....
2. After knowing Rads love on Vat Sativitri day, again foiled by Rads & Vivek
3. Again after he knows the truth about Rads getting thrown out, again foiled by Rads running away...
I would agree with you that through life, yes people have loved someone and are happily married to someone else... but this takes both parties, if Vish wasn't playing games, they would have settled down, remember Dev did try before knowing the wise sis-in-law is actually his love, but Vish spurned him....
My only beef with Rads character is until she came to Delhi, things were beyond her control, before that maybe she could be excused thinking Vish will accept her marriage, but after everything, to say I am doing all the poojas for my husband's hapiness knowing full well that he is not content but extremely unhappy with Vish, it makes no sense for any functioning human to continue in this chosen path....

Its not her fault, its just that she has done so much for her sister, she is so selfless, she does not think about what Vishaka and Dev want (which is definitely not each other). She just thinks about what Amma and her mom want and that they stay happy, and that will make everyone happy.... blah, blah, blah.....

Shabnam, at the beginning of the show, they potrayed Rads character as the girl with sense, in spite of all the abuse at home, she was shown to have a head over her sholders, the sammajdhar one...
Vish was shown to be the flighty one,
now they want to show Rads as Sammajdhar, but it comes out actually as the totally victimized one... not a strong character at all

I was on Radhika's side up until I saw her pushing Dev towards Vishaka. Radhika knows that Vishaka and Dev don't love each other, she knows that both are unhappy and the most important fact is that they are not married! Radhika is doing wrong by those she loves, so while she is suffering so are those who she believes she is doing good for.

I would like to discuss the first point<br>
<br>
' But, from there she noticed both Dev and Vishaka how....................... '<br>
<br>
yes I agree that she knew about the disparity between Dev and Vishakha but she wanted to patch up as a well wisher.<br>
She had been robbed on the same day when she left behind and Vishakha had been gone along with Dev as Dev's bride.Now at this point what else she can do? Just patching and mending only remains at this point.<br>
Radhika been trapped in to the web of sins which has not been created by Radhika.<br>
Radhika knows that no one will marry Vishakha If Dev leaves Vishakha. <br><br>
Its true that Vishakha comes first than Dev in her priory list
Its quite hard to tackle Dev and his innocent love.I would like to give an example over here, suppose someone following you and you don't want him to follow then you simply ask him stop following , that means in one way or other you are trying to manipulate his decision, though you don not have any right over his decision.Radhika case is quite similar to this one.<br>
<br>
now third point<br>
<br>
' One can sacrifice only so much and sacrificing for the undeserving............. '<br>
<br>
As a typical Indian girl she is hoping that one day everything will be fine and Dev will except Vishakha <br>
<br>
and they'll lead a happy married life and she(Radhika) doesn't give a damn about her life. <br>

Sorry, Msharma- she is not so "sacrificing"- she is unfortunately in love with Dev. Had it been just dev in love with her, then what u right is totally true. But the damage is done. She loves him in return and there is this constant battle going on within rads whether she should come clean with dev about their wedding or push him towards vish. i hope she learns soon that vish is not the ideal mate for dev. then maybe her other part will allow the truth about their wedding to surface.

Alright, on positive note...............................even if lying is covered up with sacrificing attitude.................................is hiding the truth conveniently............acceptable ?
She is weak and vulnerable to the point of an orphan and being used by amma ......not to stand for truth!
Simultaneously she is strong as iron when it comes to ruin her life, love, marriage and leave the house that she thinks she is obliged to and owes everything to her so-called family ....................to stand for fake marriage and its prestige!!!
She is extremely pious to the extent that she can lie ...................not to one but all.............. except wicked mother and grandmother!
She trusts in God so much that she can convince Him to make up for all betrayal she is doing to herself, father and Dev!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Above all, Radhika is great...............................a person who thinks for good for all............in the name of selfish sacrificing!
Oh!is she Selfish?.........so what if she doesn't think for anyone except "meri behen , mera parivar"..................she never says.............." mera pati, mere pita....."

thanks for your nicely written reply.

I am not doing favor that how well Creatives been portraying the character of Radhika but I just want to say that Dev is in far better condition than Radhika and shes just facing those challanges which she was never meant for.

I agree shes constantly lying but its simple and easy to tell a lie for the welfare of oneself but self denial is pretty hard and her lies are part of her self denial.

She is hungry for love ever since her childhood still denying the pure love only because of her family.
quite similar to the condition if a person is starving and having little food to eat and constantly denying or lying that he is not hungry at all in order to feed their loved ones and if you consider this act as a sin because he is lying or considering this person as a selfish person then why this world has a scarcity of such people.

she mentioned meri behen , mera parivar or App(DEV) you can surmise Dev comes third in her priority list but priorities often changes and definitely Dev will come first in her priority list.

limits tends to its value and varies person to person.Radhika's forbearance may not have been reached to its limit yet.

If he really wanted to clear the matter then why he failed every time ? if you say that he had been stopped by someone(mom, Dad, Dadi, Radhika, Vivek, Birju, and......... ) then this clarification comes for Radhika too.She revealed the truth at ' Phool Bangla ' , from her side she don't want to make this matter obscure but again I would say , she is in the clutches of evil society.

Vishakha spurned him but he disdained Vishakha several time.
Vishakha was ready to marry him and could become the legal spouse then why Dev denied ?

OK I try to be more specific
suppose, Vishakha would be the real wife of Dev and the scenario would be the same then how will you justify the character of Dev.He is doing right ??
(please exclude condition that dev loves vishakha or not)

I love the character of Dev because of his true, passionate love and another reason is, I'm aware that he is married to Radhika, otherwise its disgraceful(for the society) to have an affair with sister-in-law.

I'm not criticizing Dev at all but I'm not in favor to throw every blame towards Radhika.

this confusion could be resolved if Dev refused to except Vishakha soon after he saw her face, on his wedding night. Why he couldn't do this without caring after effects? was Radhika stopping him?

until now she been driven by Amma, last decision she took only because of Amma.Amma is the root cause and she(Amma) will have to pay for her deeds one by one and the process has begun (Vishakha has already been run away for the 4th time).I hope this time Dev's Mom and Dadi discover the truth about Vishakha.

yes, agree he conveyed but conveyed as a doubt and not as a decision.He said ' Kya Tumm Vishakha Hou ' . he could talk to his father or mother that ' I have been cheated on by young lady and she is not Vishakha to whom I wanted to marry ' then he could clear the air.

It was not Radhika's fault.
