though bani remained the same but her friends noticed that she was changing just a bit but all for the good, although she studied as hard as she did b4 but she was more fun loving now and dint have her head buried in the books all the time, she took more time out to chill with all her frnds and she was constantly becoming somewhat absentminded and more often her friends found her lost her in her own world and the she was teased mercilessly because it was obvious that she was lost in thoughts of jai.

the relation btw jai and bani was progressing slowly but steadily, jai dint want to scare her away or disturb her in her studies so he called her every other night or two and talked to her for a few minutes and then on the weekends he usually took her out for dinner once and then let her be although he always wanted to spend whole of her free days with her but he knew she still needed space so dint press for more......a month passed by since their engagement and now jai and bani talked over the phone for an hour every night and then as time went by her weekends were usually spend with jai always by her side and both loved every moment of being together.

a year went by with and it was time for bani's end term examinations and in the middle of it kiran suddenly fell gravely ill and after a checkup it was found that she had severe heart complications and the best treatment for it was available in USA only but goin to USA was quite expensive and nishikant and bani dint know wat to do, they had been mulling over the thought when jai had come back and informed nishikant that he had made arrangements for them in USA all he needed now was both nishikant and kiran's passport for the visa approval, nishikant did not know wat to say but his eyes filled with tears and gratitude and he went home to make visa arrangements, bani hadn't said anything since jai had come and said all that to nishikant, so jai spoke softly to bani "u want to say something??" bani shook her head, so jai took her hand and made her look at him "bani i know wat u r thinking, u r thinking that u should have been the one who made all these arrangements right?? but bani ur parents have to come to mean something to me too....i cant let anything happen to ur mom just bcoz u dint have the money and while i had too much of it, okkk so here is a deal, when u get a job u pay me back every cent that i am gonna spend and i'll also want interest on it okkkkkkkkk??" bani just looked at him with tears spilling from her eye so jai asked again "okkkkkkkkkkk??" bani just nodded and hulled herself into his arms and cried her heart out and kiran got treated in usa and came back home fit and fine.

but in the time nishikant and kiran were out, jai insisted that rano came and stay with him and maasi and as fate was bani's hostel had to be closed due to some reasons (god!! knows wat reason so don't ask okk) and since she had her exams going on, she had no option but to stay at jai's house too, and jai and maasi took real good care of her while she studied......maasi always made sure that she ate her meals properly and wouldn't hear of anything when she had tried to help her once and had insisted that she concentrated on her studies, while she was studying she was never disturbed by jai but every morning when she woke up she knew that jai had been there for her in the night because every night she would be up studying till late hours and she would always fall asleep while sitting on her desk and with her specs on but each morning she would find herself in the bed minus the specs and knew jai was there taking care of her.

and so days and months passed by with bani back in hostel and jai would always send her a sms every night before sleeping which said "i luv u" but bani never replied back to it, although she knew that jai held a very special place in her heart which no one else did but she wasn't sure wat love was?? sure she cared for him and everything but she dint know wat love was.............. as the fate was she found out soon enough

it was a weekend and bani was spending it with her father, as jai was on his private plane going to Delhi for some important meeting and so she was spending her time with nishikant watching television, when one of the news channel aired the news that a pvt plane of a business tycoon which was flying from Mumbai to delhi had crashed just before it landed, both the pilot and the tycoon had not survived the crash, bani felt the earth beneath her legs shaking she couldn't think of anything and her whole body went numb all that escape from her mouth was "jai" nishikant shook her and said "beta its not jai i am sure its not jai, it could be anybody okkk they never said who it was, just try his mobile number i am sure he is safe okkk" bani shook her head and dialled his number but it came out of reach she tried again and again it was out of reach she tried a dozen of times again to receive the same message and with each new time her deperation for jai also grew more and more, she was finding it hard to breath but not one tear escaped from her eyes so numb was she, all she knew was that she wont be able to live her life without him, she would die along with him.

then the news flashed again and this time the name of the tycoon was mentioned and it wasn't jai walia but somebody else, nishikant sighed in relief for he too had thought that it was jai, he looked at bani and saw that she still wasn't reacting as if she hadn't heard the news, he thought maybe she hasn't so he shook her and said "beta it wasn't jai's plane, jai is safe" bani shook her head and said "no he is not.....his phone is out of reach" she was shaking terribly and nishikant realized wat jai had come to mean to bani and he had tears in his eyes seeing her state, but he said "here let me try his number again" and this time when he redialled, jai picked up the phone and nishikant briefly explained wat had happened and then handed the phone to bani, she took the phone but said nothing, so jai spoke "hello?? hello bani are u there?? hello??" relief seeped through every pore of bani, her jai was alive, he was talking to her , he was aliveee, she wanted to say many things to him but she said something that meant above everything she said "i love u" jai took a deep breath in and said "bani i am coming ok i'll be there in a few hours" bani said "i am f..fine" jai thought like hell she is, he asked her to give the phone the nishikant and jai asked him to take care of her while he was on his way back.

bani sat in her room for hours only half listening to wat nishikant was saying while her entire concentration was on the door of the room and she was waiting for jai to appear there with his smile. she was dying for just one look of him, to touch him to feel him, to hear his heartbeat, to tell him that she couldn't live without him........... and then the hours of wait was over, he was right there standing in front of her......nishikant discreetly left the room closing the door behind him.

bani couldn't move from where she was sitting and just kept staring at him and then finally jai broke the silence and said "bani??" and then she came flying from where she was sitting and hugged him with all her might and then she was shaking, crying and laughing all at the same time, her legs had went weak so jai had to take all her body weight against him to prevent her from falling and then she was kissing her all over his face murmuring i love u....couple of hundred dozens of times and then she kissed him on his lips, She instinctively moved against him, wanting to get closer, wanting more, not even sure exactly what it was she wanted, but wanting it with all her being. never, ever before had she felt anything so intense, so consuming. jai was feeling the same when he racked his hands through her hairs and angled her mouth even closer so that he could deepen the kiss, he had been waiting for the day when she said i love u to him but he never wanted for her to go through such a torture as she had, for he could still feel what she must have gone through with the haunted look in her eyes and with the desperate way she was kissing him as if to assure herself that he was very much alive and he was all his.

jai finally broke the kiss and looked deep into her eyes and said "sweetheart i am right here with u....m never gonna leave u okkk" bani asked "never, ever??" jai smiled and affirmed "never, ever" and bani again hugged him, her head resting against his chest and her one hand was over his heart as if she was assuring herself with its steady beat that he was very much alive and his heart went out to her jai said "sweetheart it's alright now forget all about it okkk??....i don't like u all gloomy-doomy, where is my cheery bani??" when she dint say anything he asked "hmmm wat was that u were saying over the phone??" bani asked "what??" jai said "i dunno but it sounded like i love u, now do u really?? took a long time almost two years for u to decide that u love me hmmm?? bani started acting all coy and said "when did i ever say that u must have heard something wrong" jai was like "ohh yeah and did i hear u wrong too when u kissed me and said i love u??huh huh huh??" bani turned as red as a tomato and hid her face in his chest and hit him with her fists on his chests until he held her hand in a prison like grip right above his heart and then she was speaking to him "jai i'v never ever felt this desperate in my life, when that news flashed my world stopped moving and it dint start moving again until u came back here, u must have thought y dint i say i love u to u b4 this but jai i dint knew wat love was i really dint knew until a few hours ago when i thought u were dead and i knew that if u were not there to share my life i dint want to live it, its totally meaningless without u, if anything ever happens to u, i know i would rather die along with u then lead a life without u because then i will only be a body without any heart, without any soul and this i realize is love and i do jai i love u more than anything and anyone in this world...u r my world" jai looked deep into her eyes as if he was seeing her soul and then he said " and u r mine" and then kissed every inch of her face and claimed her lip as his again...............

and from then on their love for each other knew no bonds it grew with each passing day......and before they knew it, it was valentine days, each year since the day they were engaged jai always did something special for her, like one year he had sent her lots of chocolates and soft toys and flowers to her hostel room, so much so there was no space to keep it and bani had to beg him to stop it and then this year he took her out on a cruise and then there were firrworks in the sky that said "i love u bani" and bani had thought he really knew hw to woo his woman, lasy year bani had simply given him a red rose for she couldn't think of anything she could buy for the richest man in India but this year she wanted to do something really special for him and so she sat out and wrote a poetry for him although she had never written one in her life but she wanted to do it for him, she wanted to tell him exactly hw she felt for him through her words and so she wrote and got the poetry engraved on a wooden heart, the heart read '

Dearest Jai,

I had always thought that

THE PERFECT SOULMATE

would be the one who means,

wat the first drop of water

Jai had tears in his eyes when he read it, never in his life had he felt so loved and cared for and he had hugged bani with all his might and had said "this means a lot to me bani, u gave me something that means the world to me, u have given me ur heart in the form or ur poetry, u r the most beautiful person i have ever known, thanxx for becoming a part of my life" and then he kissed her with all his might, and then bani whispered into his ears "jai can i ask u for something??" jai did not like the look in her eyes but nevertheless said "anything" and she whispered back "make me urs tonight" jai was shocked and said "but bani........." bani just looked at him and said "no jai u have waited too long and i have waited too long but now no more, i want to become a part of u....our hearts are already married jai........plz" and then she kissed him and he knew he had lost the battle to her again and was more than willing to give her what she wanted after all he was hers mind, body and soul and he took her to the cruise room and He lay down on the bed and wrapped his arms around her from behind. 'It's all right, sweetheart,' he soothed, holding her tightly against him as he sensed her tensing and said "i'll never hurt u sweetheart never just trust me" and then he began kissing her slowly, softly, sipping at her lips, showing her with his mouth that hw much he loved her. He kept on kissing her, nothing more, and gradually he felt her defences lower till finally she began to moan, and move against him. Only then did he start to undress her'and himself'(rest i leave to ur weird imaginations)

and then the day bani graduated arrived she had finished her degree with a gold medal and had been offered a job with a reputed law firm with an annual salary that ran in lacs of rupees and she had accepted the offer and would be joining the firm from the next month and she was asked to say something on her graduation day so there she was and she began saying " thank u to all my teachers, my friends who always helped me with my studies, thank u mamma and papa for always giving me ur full support, i hope i have fulfilled one of ur dreams for me and last of all thank u to jai walia- my best friend, my fianc, my my everything for his undying love and support, u have been so patient with me and have loved me so much for all the time we have known each other without expecting anything from me in return, and today in front of all these people i would like to ask u for one more thing "will u marry me?? sooooooooooooon?? like in a few days or weeks??" and jai felt his heart bursting with happiness when he nodded his head in affirmative and from then on they lived happily ever after with bani fulfilling every goad that she had set out for herself and then setting new goals for both of them and achieving them too...............THE END.
