Are overweight stars setting a bad example?😛

Overweight celebrities are making dangerous weight gain appear acceptable, a medical expert is warning. Do you agree?😉

Professor Michael McMahon says the higher profile of larger role models such as James Corden, Eamonn Holmes, Ruth Jones and Beth Ditto means obesity is now perceived as 'normal' by the public.😛

A survey of more than 2,000 individuals for Nuffield Health found many obese people are apathetic about their weight gain with almost one in five not contemplating doing anything to lose weight.😃

But former Hollyoaks soap star Mikyla Dodd, who previously weighed 25 stone (159kg), said larger stars showed overweight people they can be successful and motivate them to do something about it.😳

What do you think of the survey's findings? Are there more overweight celebrities nowadays? Do larger stars inspire overweight people? Or are they setting a bad example?😊

Why is it that people blame television, McDonalds, celebrities, etc for obesity, but never themselves. Get off the freakin' couch for the love of God.

Overweight stars who'd get down to normal weight would be kinda inspirational.

Else fat people would get one very lame excuse to remain fat.😆

Erm we have plenty of anorexic celebrities to counterbalance the big ones. Although I must say I adore and admire Queen Latifah and would love to be just like her. She maybe big, but she is funny, wittty, classy and gorgeous.

Yeah me too

Besides Queen Latifah doesnt look too bad, many aunties are double her size.!

She carries her weight gracefully and looks better than those poverty stricken size 0 models.

Yup exactly!!! If your size 0 and no matter how bad your features are...you would still be considered as being ''attractive'' and an icon for youth..some kinda fashion roll models ''roll eyes''

Besides some loook good when they are a bit curvy...i would chose slightly curvy gals over underweight anyday!!!
