Ok folks, Roja is back - She was a bit busy with other things
but missing out on KB's serial was bugging her - no end. Also,
the site buffering was a force to reckon - took more than 70 mins
to watch a 20 mins serial !!! Now she has found a solution - has
another source !!!

I should thank Eclat for the "story so far" - She patiently wrote in 3
segments and covered the 50 episodes beautifully. With that as
a base and my watching a few key episodes to catch the story at
large,I am getting a synopsis ready - will be posted by the end of the
day. From then on - probably from episode No 52, Roja will update.
Eclat has promised to help in updating.

KB promises in the first episode that his story is about family -
To quote him -" solla vendiya sila vishayangalai solla vendiya
nerathil sollamal povathu than intha kathai" . He also promises
that his serial will not sport the "Samudrika Lakshnams " of present
day Tamil serials - no vengeance, no murder, no raising the index
finger and shouting etc., etc., I respect KB . He never demeans
women or show them as weaklings . Unlike other serials which
go ga ga over how they glorify women and end up stamping them
under the foot of any passerby, KB maintains his values. And his
script writing skills are excellent. The way he links his characters
is awesome. That said, get geared folks - for once let us watch some
thing sensible. Roja being Roja😳 - will not spare KB if he goes back on
his words and resorts to the usual formula - let us enjoy folks.

omg...this is gr8 news roja akka and eclat. I saw this serial until Kavya leaves the house...its a beautilful story and i love the title song too...nice to listen to it.

At the outset, a big thanks to Eclat - great job of summarizing the
story . I thought of posting it as it is but doing a brief one to keep the viewers in the loop and the updates can start. I will back up the updates from time to time with Eclat's write up - Once again thanks Eclat.

Main families :
Madan , a serial actor and his daughter Charu
Pattabhi , Madan's secretary, Padma and her brother Chidambaram .
Ponmani, ex wife of Madan with her chithappa who is a vegetable.
Chithappa has a daughter , Kavitha, who is married to Elango, a gold digger.
GDR and MRB , their son Nataraj with his wife Kokila and their daughter Kalai. Natraj has a son Mathi who is married to Indhu.They live with Indhu's mom Sharadha, a nrurse.

others :
Vidhya Shankar - a writer.
Mahadevan, Ponmani's all in all.
Meera - Mathi's boss.
Seshu - Madan's friend and his family
Annamma - house keeper of Madan

The story so far : Madan and Ponmani love each other and marry against the wishes of their parents. They get a girl called Charu and the couple separate when Charu is 2 years old. Madan keeps his daughter and Ponmani goes to her chithappa who makes her the CEO of an IT company. Madan lies to Charu that her mother died when she was 2 years. The lie continues till date.

Pattabhi is devoted to Madan and is a kind fellow. His wife is immature and has a brother who aspires to become a director.
Pattabhi helps him to find an assignment but does not tell Chidambaram about the help rendered.

MRB and GDR live with their son . Koki and MRB are avid serial watchers and Natarajan is a busy executive. Their daughter Kalai and Charu are in the same college and good friends.

Mathi and Indhu are childless for long years and once Indhu thinks that she is pregnant. Finally they know that it is pseudo pregnancy and are in theidea of adopting. MRB is against this idea.

Ponmani peps up her cousin Kavitha to work in their office. This boosts up the insecure Kavitha . Her hubby Elango is a sadist and
abuses wife verbally all the time. Ponmani plays guardian.

Seshu wants to patch up Ponmani and Madan and so decides to go to Bangalore where Ponmani lives. Ponmani gets to see Charu one day in a temple where Charu picks up a fight with her. Ponmani comes to know that it isher own daughter and leaves with out a word.

Kalai is in love with a college mate - the parents think that she has gone astray and are upset.

Vidya Shankar wants Madan to act in her story. First Madan refuses as the story reflects his life but Vidya manages to convince him. Madan and Vidya discuss the story and have long conversations . Charu is very possesive about her father and does not like this. She leaves the house, Vidya manages to convince Charu to go back to dad.

We will get on to regular updates from now on folks. It is possible that my
synopsis is not in the exact order of how it happened. Please humor my
lacuna folks 😳

Wednesday 24/6/09 Episode No 54

Kokila is chanting Kandar Shashti Kavasam and MRB comes there.
Asks Kokila as to what makes her read the slogam now !!! " are you
replacing the serials with this?? A new stress reliever?" Kokila
fumbles ( the background is that she and her hubby think that their
unmarried daughter Kalai is pregnant - they have not shared this fear
with GDR and MRB) but MRB wants to drive her point home. Tells her a
story - " a fellow was caught in the floods and prayed to God to save him.
First a boat comes but this guy does not get in to that. Waits for God to come
and rescue. Another boat comes but he still does not board Finally dies in the
flood.Goes up and meets God .Laments to God that in spite of calling out to
You, u never helped me?? God said that I sent you 2 boats but you never got
on them!!! Athu mathiri, God nera vanthu help panna maattaar. Natrajan has
told me every thing...EVERY Thing" Now Kokila does the expected faux pas -
"ellam sollittaraa?? MRBBBB antha ponnu ipdi pannalaama??" MRB quickly
asks "entha ponnu?? enna panninaa?" Koki wakes up butit is too late ,she has
to spill - tells MRB that Kalai is pregnant. MRB chides Kokila for her assumption
but Koki says that she heard Kalai talking in the telephone. MRB says that she
will take care of this and asks Koki to continue with the slogam "for your peace
of mind" - Goes to her son Natarajan and says that the whole family has to go
to the hospital for a master check up. A puzzled Nats is silenced with "no questions,
do what I say"

Indhu, Mathi and Sharadha - Indhu is sending Mathi to the market with a list.
As he is leaving, Meera walks in . She obviously has heard the convo between
Indhu and Mathi , says " Intha mathiri markket pOi veggie vaangara hubby nna ,
I would not have divorced" Mathi excuses himself and Meera comes in to chat
a bit. Indhu joins. Looks like Meera does not believe in beating around the bush!!!
Asks Indhu as to how long she has she been married to Mathi. Indhu says "5 years"
Meera says "oh yes 2004, right? Mathi solliyirukan." Sharadha looks disturbed.
Then Meera goes on - " You do not have any issues right?" Indhu stiffens but
Meera does not see that- goes on -" did any doctor say that you can never get
pregnant?" Sharadha negates. Meera asks "so why the decision of adoption???
Mathi sonnan.." Indhu has had enough...and gets her wheezing attack. Sharadha
attends and Meera observes "Mathi sonnan, Indhu kku wheezing nnu" Finally leaves
with a parting shot " Adoption laam vendam, my personal opinion.." ( Awwww KB sir,
et tu?? Meera has met Indhu only once and she discusses all that goes between a
hubby and wife? her talking to Mathi and Mathi sharing things with her is ok, that is
their equation - coming to think about it,athuve thappu , he has no business
discussing his wife to any one !!! - this is too much - KB sir, vengeance, murder
laam illai nnu sonninga athoda serthu Nosy Parkers um vendam Sir, naanga
yerkeneve nondhu pOi irukkOm ..athukku vera serials irukku.. unga calibre
kku this is unwanted!!)

Pattabhi is reading a newspaper. Chidambaram comes and needles - "enna maamaa??
no work?? athan paper??" Pattabhi with his muttai kannu and soda butti mimics
Sun Tv ad "enter the dragon.Tamizzhhhill" Chidambaram chats a bit and goes -
does not forget to demean maama. Padma is very upset but Pattabhi consoles
" Nambiyaar villain iruntha thaan hero MGR kku mathippu..let me be Nambiyaar,
yr bro can be MGR" And asks Padma for her decision -"about my sister Thangam
coming and staying with us?? I have to answer my dad" Padma has some issues
about that but agrees in the end. Thangam will be here for 4 years for her education.

Charu dancing Shiva Thandavam - kalai and Madan are watching. Charu is
tensed about getting the first prize and Madan gives a sane advice - do not
think of the prize. Enjoy your dance and do it with devotion, the prize will come
to you by itself." Kalai says that if Charu does not get the prize for the college
then.." Naa aadiduven, Rudhra Thandavammm" A nice, easy moment

Mathi comes back with veggies - Indhu is kadu kadu ( wheezing athukkule
sariya pOchaa?) opens the bag and sees. Mathi says that he executed her
order to the letter T - "no need to check" Indhu asks "enna veg laam vangittu
vanthingannu Meerakitte solliyaacha?" Mathi looks shocked. Indhu goes on.
" U have been married for 5 years...Mathi sonnan..no issues? ..Mathi sonnan...
Indhu kku wheezing? Mathi sonnan... adoption vendame..Mathi sonnan.." throws
the veggie down. Mathi gets angry now. Says that Meera is a good friend and the
way she talks one feels like confessing every thing. "If u get to know her well,
u would do that too." Indhu points out - " but she never told you that she is a
divorcee !" Mathi says that he never asked. Now Sharadha says that she is
also unhappy - " Mathi , how can u tell everything like this??" Mathi is more
angry..shouts at Indhu " u may not like it but I dont like this drama of throwing
veggies.." Indhu shouts back " when MRB vetoed the adoption idea , u agreed
and i did not, so u are trying to convince me through Meera?" Mathi says that
Meera voiced her opinion - " we do not have to abide by that We go to the adoption
center tomorrow.." Indhu says " not me, u go.."

RP thanks for the update... havent watched yesterday's episode yet ! unga kaNNaala paarthutten.. actually even during Meera's first visit Sharadha and Indhu were feeling uncomfortable, maybe it is Meera's attitude and outlook...

Thanks for the synopsis and updates akka...

Story a catch paniten.. aana characters than konjam confustion.. Will watch the serial when time permits...

Nice serial. But i don't like this indhu, mathi and meera plot.. Y again the same thing as other serials... I don't know how could a person confess everything to another women and expect their wife not to do so. He even has not informed anything about Meera to his wife. If they were friends, he should have told his wife about their friendship and how he share things with her. Meera is also too harsh on Indhu. Ellam ambalaingalum ipadi thana... Anaga pesuna friend. Namma pesuna edhuku unaku enna vitutu inoru friend theva padura nu kepanga.. I am so hurt about this already.. serial yum idhe dhana... I will better skip this part while reading the updates...

Other things are all fine. Will follow the updates and try to comment. The time slot 10:00PM is the prob for me to watch the episodes. Already watching AV in net only.. So, can't watch this too...

right Meena - men are a class by themselves , And what beats me
is how can Meera accept to convince Indhu - even if Mathi had asked her to. I can not imagine an emancipated woman being so blunt and
interfering - KB sir, kekkaringalaa??? ungalukku vendam intha mathiri
characters - please show your usual, worldly wise smart women - I liked the way MRB offered to sort the situation - did the role of an elder in
a joint family very well.
